I disagree....with the exception of folks that frequent these forums....Verizon customers are not loyalists...people are loyal to their wallet. If I can shave 10 or 20 bucks off of my cell phone bill, and receive similar service...I am gone... People are not going to LNP to a company that costs more then their current company....so, Verizon is not going to gain customers, they are going to loose customers......that is, unless they get off of their a$$ and showing us some love....come out with better plans.

No....People are not going to be thinking...."Ahhh, I can move my cell phone number now....let me look at Verizon....ohh...their plans cost more...but I don't mind paying more...I hear they are pretty good."

nope nope nope....Verizon needs that shinney object.

C'Mon!! You didn't even know what Winphoria was! Heck, I didn't know what it was, but I won't pretend I did!

Hey Cop...I still think Sprint service blows (at least here) even if their prices are nice. But as a wise man recently said, they wouldn't have done it if they were not scared. Thing is, now that they did it I'm the one who's scared.

Everyone seems to say Sprint has better prices then VZW. I just checked. With sprint their free and clear plan starts at $35 for 300 mins add $5 to get free roaming for up to 50% of your mins. add $15 for unlimited readyLink add anouth $5 for PCS to PCS calling this totals $60.

With VZW and Push to Talk you get 400 mins to use on the AC network 1000 mobile to mobile (better chance your calling a VZW phone) for $60. With VZ you get 100 more a/t mins and can use 100% of your mins while travling around.

I dont see how everyone says Sprint is cheaper. What am I missing???

That is a very good point. And I jsut tested the V60 p in the store and my God is i Loud. Even better, my partner thinks it has the best outgoing voice quality of any phone in the store. She couldn't tell i was on Speaker phone.

Will be very interesting to see what shakes out.

For me, I will most likely stay with Verizon....at least until the GSM networks become larger.

<shakes head in shame and disgust>

OOO!! OOO!! Did you hear about Verizons BRAND NEW Holiday rate plan?? 1000 (Local) Anytime minutes and Unlimited Nights and Weekends (which are still at 9:00) For $49.99!!

Where the Mobile to Mobile you ask?? Why it's free with a share plan...but if no share you have to add it on...and guess how much? $10.00

So they take an existing plan...Pull one piece out to save $10, but if you want it it's $10 to put it back, and nothing is new. Same plan as before. (crazy laugh....kinda like Smith in the Oracles apt...DUH! CWicks Icon!)

    (I can't take it anymore!)

Honestly, I haven't even heard of that plan yet, but it may be something exclusive to his market.

In other news, I carved an authorized dealer a new flargenooben today. The moron sells our service, but didn't understand why a customer's first bill would be prorated, didn't understand why taxes were charged, and didn't understand the difference between long distance calling and roaming. He said we were ripping the customer off, and he's been telling new customers that they have free LD to all of CA on local plans, when they don't. I was so dumbfounded by his sheer stupidity that I just took down his name and outlet ID and told him to have a nice day. He'll be mad tomorrow when he gets to work and finds out he doesn't have a job anymore.

If I had 1000 anytime (I share 500 now), I wouldn't need mobile to mobile....So I would be loosing my 1000 M2M and wifes 250 M2M to share 1000 anytime. Sounds like a decent trade to me...but others milage may vary. I haven't seen anything on this rate plan yet.

Sorry Sir! (but you should see the (paintball) sniper rifle I am building! Fully Automatic, 18 b.p.s. (balls per second) 18 inch barrel, Laser and Point-Sighting, Harris Ultralight Bipod, and more goodies!

BTW: You are right Ceno, there are a lot of us agents that are complete morons. Luckily, I try to know my material. I've just been a little psycho lately over the amount of business going on.

Delta....where did you hear of this VZW holiday plan?

It's here in the Ohio market. Ho-Ho-Ho

ok guys look at it like this...
if verizon is picking up customers (speaking of october and current) now, with other carriers offering what they are, why should they change? verizon gains more customers from the ppl changing to friday weekends or 7pm nights then anyone else.
dont think they dont have something up their sleeve, all i was told is they are ready to meet competition if it comes and from what i see (in my area at least) we are beating them without changing anything.

also, one major point: maybe verizon can stand to lose these type of ppl that are pissing and moaning about 7pm nights and such, let them see the other side!
in my words "we can set up a deport line for them" (little LNP joke [IMG]).

vzw lovers dont give up now... hope is near for new plans.

    be prepared for BLACK MONDAY!

In Responce to this i hope they do nothing in NYC. I know it sounds bad to say that but every person i ask is swithcing to Verizon come this thnksgiving. The capacity issues are going to be.....intresting to say the least. If they actualy didd match any of the other promotions they would get 250K- 750K new customers in the Metro NY area alone in the next month. I don't need that kind of capacity issue headache. I hope they have planned accoringly in my area. The 12 new towers probably won't cut it.

I hope you are right...I like Verizon, they are the best I have used so far. But that is not to say I would not appreciate some similar offers from them.....and also, I think Verizon should leverage/commision these phone manufactures for better phones. Ever time I see a hot new phone coming out, and see it is GSM, it's like a swift kick to the jimmies.

A few questions for you Ceno.

1st, What in the hell is "<u>flargenooben</u>?" Did you just sit there and make that one up cause I couldnt find it anywhere. [IMG]
2nd, How long has the "moron" been selling services?
3rd, If this individual is giving out wrong information, wouldnt he have a boss to take this issue up with....maybe training again or something. I mean, I just feel kinda bad that the guy may loose his job.
4th, Who taught him the stuff that he has been telling customers; he had to get it from somewhere. [IMG]

From the Sprint Terms and Conditions:

Coverage. Most services are only available within the operating range of the Sprint Nationwide PCS Network(also see Roaming). Coverage is not available everywhere. Coverage and quality of Services may be affected by conditions within or beyond our control, including network problems, signal strength, your equipment, and atmospheric, geographic, or topographic conditions. We do not guarantee service availability or that there will be no interruptions or delays in Services (e.g., dropped calls, blocked calls, etc.).

and that pretty much goes for every service provider, stop whining.

I am not so worried as I was. In the last week we have still had a lot of people coming in about the LNP thing. 90% of them are Sprint customers. So I started quizzing them. Pretty much all of them said they don't care if the nights start at 3, they just want the he!! off of Sprint. And just like many have said here, several have told me "What good is it if I can't get a signal?" Almost Verbatim. Looks like Monday is still gonna be a real, real busy day. (aw shucks!...I hate money!)

Flargenooben is a term coined by YelloMunky when the word "@rse" was put on the forbidden list.

The moron said he had been selling our service for several months.

The moron does have a boss, and his boss has a boss. That's who I contacted.

And I'm assuming it was his boss that trained him incorrectly in the first place. I have very little tolerance for dealers giving out bad information to customers. I have had to clean up way too many of their messes and it has cost the company way more money that it should. When it comes to these mom and pop dealers, some of them are spot on, but some of them just don't give a damn about correctly educating the customer, they just want their commision, and they'll say anything to get it.

There is no doubt in my mind that between Novemebr 24th and New years EVERY SINGLE VERIZON SALESS person in the city will have a record month and Verizon wil gain NO LESS than 100,000 new customers in the city alone by Valentines day.

    Holea if you hear me.
