Does any one know of any available games that are in RPG or adventure category? It doesnt matter if they are free or not.
If you have unlimited Vision, there are text-based RPG's (MUD and variants) on the web. Try a google search. There were some WAP versions, but the names I had on hand are not online currently.
yeah, I do have unlimited Vision. Text version is better than nothing, but I was thinking more of something like being able to see a charter on the screen and control him.
Finally found something: Ring Fantasy. It's a big 90K and I believe it was originally targetd for Nokia phones -- but it looks good and runs well (only about 10 minutes of testing mind you) on my Sanyo 4900. You can get it on my website in the section >Files >Programs >Games >Misc
do any of the free downloaded games have sound? I really hate the idea of paying 5 dollars on sprints site for games, but their version of pac man is much better than the free ones i have downloaded. The sprints version of pacman has sound effects similiar to the real arcade. And when you die, the phone vibrates like playstation controllers.
I don't remember any of the games on my website providing sound or vibration. But, that makes sense. In the case of those from Sprint the authors know which phones they're writing for. But the freebies I offer are written generically and would avoid proprietary sound in order to work on as many devices as possible.
When downloading the games from Sprint there is a license on most of the games and ringers. Once the license expires can you still play these games and use the ringers. Any help would be appreciated.
For any game downloaded from SPCS which has a license, once the license expires, the game can no longer be played. You would have to download the game again; hence paying for it. I imagine licensed ringers would work the same way; not 100% sure since I get my ringers elsewhere
It has been reported that even if a game has expired, *some* Vision phones will allow you to play it if you put the phone in Airplane mode. Airplane mode turns off the transmitter/receiver, and hence also the phone's source of time/date. Some phones then consider the time/date to be simply unknown.
There is at least one location in Ring Fantasy that will cause it to crash on the Sanyo 4900 everytime. I haven't had a chance to test it further to find out if there are any other locations. I assume if there is one that there are others. TT
Yeah, there are spots to avoid. It was originally written for the Motorola T720 so it's a miracle that it does as well as it does.
Ring Fantasy is a great game, I wish I could find more like this one. Great graphics (for a cell phone )
