I thought the original Note was a monstrosity at 5.3 inches. According to DroigDog, the new one is 5.5 inches. Intriguing. I held the current model up to my ear and thought how awkward it felt. Now this new one is even bigger. I know I'd be embarrassed to have it up to my face. If I bought it, I would use my bluetooth to talk. Just because I'm a dork & geek doesn't mean I want to look like one. LOL
I just saw someone yesterday talking into a Note, she looked absolutely ridiculous. Sent from my Lumia 900 using Board Express
I kind of agree. It is becoming a common sight seeing people holding up the tablet to their ears. This is because people using such devices in public cannot put it on speaker phone and won’t have a head phone or a blue tooth handy. I never use my tablet as a phone just in case I have a blue tooth connected and I am looking for a wireless head phones option, if available. Jake. :headscrat
When I was on a Caribbean cruise a couple years ago, I saw a guy using his laptop and obviously using a Skype-like video conferencing app on one of the islands. He had his wired earplugs in his ears to hear the person he was speaking to and just talking softly enough that the person on the other end could hear but the crowd around him didn't hear it. I wish more people could talk on their phones softly. For some reason, even in public, they seem to think they need to shout their conversation. My wife has a problem like this. She can start a conversation (even on the landline) at a reasonable decibel level, but as the conversation progresses, she gets louder and l-o-u-d-e-r and LOUDER!!!! I've had to tell her frequently that she is talking way too loud and it is completely unnecessary.
If i am not wrong this is a common problem with every woman. They tend to get more excited when they are in a conversation or a debate. Without realizing they increase their voice and that irritates every men. And if they are in an argument mode then no one can compete with them.
Spidershowl11: I wouldn't characterize just women as being that way, but now that you mention it, it does seem I observe more women than men doing this. I was in a clothing store recently and I was the only person within a few isles. Suddenly I heard this young woman one isle over talking on her phone. Sure enough she rounded the corner onto the isle where I was (not really looking at anything, just strolling and walking) and continued her loud (rude) conversation. I took out my phone, pretended to dial, and then started talking very loud. She got the point. LOL
