    Hello all.

New to this forum. Seems pretty cool.
To start with, I was wondering, does anybody happen to have any G-mail invitations left to give away? I would very very much like to get one if possible.

If so, Please e-mail that to this address:

    zorba@e2umail.com

I would be MOST appreciative. Many thx in advance.

I would like one, too. Heard they have one heck of a file transfere policy.

Maybe worth it to shell out $10 a month to AOL, I'm sorry, the NEW AOL and get some of that included 50gig storage space?

On Gmail's website, you can obtain an invitation by going to the following link:

    https://www.google.com/accounts/SmsMailSignup1

If you input your cell phone number, you will receive a text with an invitation code to register.

Thank you, I tried that earlier, but unfortunately I do not have a mobile number registered in any of the required countries. Works probably fine for anyone who has that.

    Still thx anyway :)

Naw Gmail is my primary email address even though I have my own Website and Email address linked to that, I check my gmail via pop3 and occassionally log in. I love it, the spam filters are amongst the best.

Found out that quite a few teacher's at the local community college use gmial accounts, instead of the college's email.

Well it's got a better interface, Comprehensive Filters, was/is exclusive, larger storage, and I can go on and on, plus google's search engine plugged into my inbox is nice.

Well I can report that I find it pretty comprehensive, easy and practical to use. Also the interface is nice. Not too complicated. 2,5 GB worth of storage space without having to worry about commercials and pop ups to top it off with.

So I'm quite happy! Again, thank you guys for the invitations. Greatly appreciated :)

    Sincerely,
    /B.

Well if I'm not mistaken you get five every x amount of days capping at 100, I've never been over 100 invitations and after a few weeks I shoot right back to 100, since I really don't have friends to give gmail to, well at least not that many. But I've had my accounts for so long they just kinda built up

Then I guess it's about useage and how many emails you send/receive no clue but I know I've invited at least 25 people, and I always have 100 invites after a few days after inviting someone it goes back up.

Yes, just enable pop mail in your gmail settings, and go to help to set it up

Gmail uses SSL connections so when you set your smtp (smtp.gmail.com) go to it's advanced tab be sure to enable this server requires an encrypted connection and change the port to 465
if you enable SSL for the pop3 server (pop.gmail.com) it should automatically change it's port to 995 which is correct.
