Yes, the rear part has inserts, depending on which battery you need to charge. I purchased the desktop charger (front part SPN5204A) that came with the battery charger (back part SPN5211A) and three different inserts that slide into the back part depending on which battery you have. The v620's battery (SNN5683A) fits in the SYN0926A-C insert.

GREAT, Motorola just told me that NO,the full charger is just made of front part and rear part and that's all!!

I guess the inserts are just "passive" parts, without any electronic part inside, right? Just used to make the battery properly touch the charger pins.

Where did you buy the charger? Do they sell SPN5211A alone? Abroad too? (to Europe)

Well, that could be correct... the rear part may come with the inserts.
Yes, the're just differently-shaped plastic inserts to fit different battery types.
I bought the charger from HelloMOTO.com. I don't know about the SPN5211A but the SYN0918A
is available from Motorola's website for $4.99 and this is listed as an accessory for the v600, which has the same case as the v620, so the SYN0918A looks to be the exact same thing as the SPN5211A.

Sorry, but I'm getting EVEN MORE (if possible) confused...
    You said:
    The you said:

    and finally you say:

and Motorola sites show SYN0918A is not an insert but a rear-part.
So, again, I can't understand if rear part is named SPN5211A and insert is named SYN0927A, or if they're the same thing (in that case, how are inserts named???)

Actually, Moto site does not list at all, neither talks, about "inserts".
Is it possible for you (or somebody else) to post pictures of the inserts and of the full charger composed of front part, rear part and SYN0918A ?

...anyway, assuming one day or the other I'll be able to understand which damned part-number Damn-orola assigned to the part I need... is there any chance you can order it for me (they don't send to europe) and send it back to me? Of course I would cover all shipment costs (if you can tell them to me in advance...) :O

SYN0926A is the insert, I had SYN0926A-A, SYN0926A-B & SYN0926A-C for different battery models. The SYN0926A inserts fit into the SPN5211A rear base, which fits into the front base, SPN5204A.

Can you kindly post any picture of your charger? Single pictures of each part would be fine.
    Thanks.

:loony: I realize this response is 3 year late or 3 years later. :loony:

if anyone is still looking for the inserts. they can be found at this link.

    Motorola SYN0918 SYN0918A SYN0918B SYN0918C Dual Port Desktop Charger.

they are selling them for 1.99. not a bad deal I guess. I've ordered the syn927 as I have an E815 cell phone. this is supposedly the version I need to go with my SPN5204A & SPN5211A dual desktop charger.

there are 3 versions of the inserts. SYN918, SYN926 & SYN927. so make sure you get the right kind. :D
