I don't know why but I can't get it to work on my alltel phone....

I can get the google one to work like a charm but no go on the hacktherazr one. Will it just not work on some phones or do I need to make some other seem edits?

All I get is a "can not resolve hostname" error when I try to change.

    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Woody

btk, every now and then their server is down, and that would be the message u would get. I would keep trying once in a while. I just tried mine now, and its working. Let me know if u still cant get thru.

Paste your settings that u have for the hack the razr site. You have signed up with them right??? Keep in mind when setting up the browser websession, your user name AND password are case sensitive...

And ur user name that u signed up on the site is all lower case?

If so, everything looks good. However, for Gateway 1: you have wap.hacktherazr.com, and while that is correct, I am using their alternate, and it has been working fine. Try changing your Gateway 1: to this -> hacktherazr.net

Let me know if that works... and i assumer u just left ur password field blank on this post right? ;)

I just logged into the site to verify my user name and password. All good there. I changed the address from wap.hacktherazr.com to just hacktherazr.net, then restarted the phone. Still no go.......

The ONLY other think i can think of, and i doubt its the prob, but u should check it is... the second entry you have:

    Homepage: proxy:homepage

    Change it to

    Homepage: http://homepage

If that doesnt work, I dont know what is up....all of your values are correct...I have checked them against my phone settings. Not to beat a dead horse, but even ur user name is case sensitive (not when logging onto the site, but what u enter in the phone). If u create ur user name with all lower case, and then log in with all caps on their actual webpage, it will let u in (as long as ur pass is proper). So just check how your user id looks...thats what happened to me the first time around...

double checked user name and password..... How can you change the homepage? My phone will not let you make a change in the web sessions options.

How have u been entering all this information? Are u using PST, or did u do the #073887* and then go into Websessions?

EDIT: Im thinkin it might have something to do with u being on Alltel? I think that might be the prob, and I think it has something to do with the ports. The google probably works well b/c it is set to port 80. However, hack the razr uses port 9201, and if memory serves me correct, that port isnt compatible with Alltel? If u have everything in correctly, that is probably the case. But i dont have alltel so i cant verify

No, doesnt work that way. You need to use a us cable with Motorola Phone tools as dictated in tons of threads in here, or buy them from Verizon. Free wap is just for browsing sites.

I have a VZW V3M. I have done the edits for the free wap and am now getting a Network Connection Lost error or a Please Dial *611 message. I am using the HTR wap and have tried using both wap.hacktherazr.com and hacktherazr.net as the Gateway. I have my user name and password correct and have set the Gateway IP to all 0's... Has VZW blocked this or am I doing something wrong???? HELP!!!!
