I have been thinking the EXACT same thing. On the outside of my Verizonized T720 box, it clearly states:

"Download, view and share digital images on your wireless phone. Family photos, vacation pics and more can be organized into albums and stored."

Now we all know after signing our contracts and jacking around with the phones for a few miserable hours if not days, that what this actually means is that pics can only be "downloaded" on to your phone using Get It Now service but NOT "saved" to your phone. And the part about organizing pics into albums, etc. is pure bull $--t, since the only "organizing albums" that is possible is on the Pictavision website, NOT on the phone. Sounds more than reasonable for a class action settlement to me.

If they get rid of get it now, we'll have nothing. They certainly aren't going to say "Oh darn thats get rid of this money making idea and just let them have everything for FREE, that's much better than making a profit!" I'm willing to wait and see if they expand on the idea and eventually lower prices once their established.

You can download your own photos. You simply choose Get Pics and then you after downloading one of the two applications there is a web site were you can upload your own pictures and then transfer them to your phone. Of course there is a fee for the applications. But you can also download the trial version and upload your pic's before it expires.

I've tried this, and all you can do this view pics on your phone from the website where you uploaded your pics. You CANNOT actually store the pics to your phone and set as wallpaper, etc.

By the way everybody keep the message going, I just got a reply from somebody that says that the VZW Corp has noticed this and is watching it closely.

you can also go to www.planetfeedback.com and send your feedback about it to the president of verizon wireless. People have already recieved a call from his secretary regarding us being able to upload via usb. So it's gettin noticed.. Thought i'd throw in my $.02 since i'm relatively a newb, however i've been reading nonstop since i got my phone a week ago.
