First and foremost, thank you ALL for the use of this great forum. Having just purchased a V3m and after having spent many hours on this forum, I picked up a copy of MPT, updated to v. 4.21(a) and seam edited to get the multimedia package on the screen. When I open the multimedia package I can edit my phone list, but cannot transfer pictures or ringtones from the PC to the phone, constantly getting a message "Request denied by phone (forbidden (0x43)). Can anyone shed some light on this? In advance, thank you very much. Sam on Boul Mich in Chicago.
Did you do the seem edit to enable usb transfers thru MPT? It is: Seem: 2742 Record: 1 Bytes: 0000 Offset: 006a Bit: 0 (check to enable) Description: Bluetooth Or USB file transfer in MPT (plus E815 OBEX) - check to enable. That seems (pun intended) to be the seem edit most people miss when they are having trouble getting data to the phone.
I have a KRZR k1m and I have successfully made the 2 seem edits, and the MPT now shows the Media Studio... But I am unable to transfer any images (.jpg) or music (.mp3) or anything for that matter to the phone. I get the following error: Request denied by phone (Unsupported media type (0x4F)). I have MTP 4.5.6a and a KRZR k1m I bought in December 2007. My provider is Verizon Is there a missing seem edit? First edit was "Bluetooth or USB file transfer in MPT", but this was already checked. The Phone software version is 24.1_01.19.05. IF you can help or assist at all with this, that would be GREAT. Jim
