I would bet that Sprint has more digital coverage in the State of Florida than any other carrier. Compare Sprint's Floida map to T-Mobile's and you will see a big difference. But of course someone will probably come on here and dispute that.
oh but im looking for the debate thats the whole point that way i can get all sides and make a good choice
sprint i think is good in florida but if you do go with them the phone makes all the difference. stay away from LG and Samsuck phones on their network. trust me on that one. you'll hav emuch more potential of being satisfied.
I travel around the state of Florida frequently, and I have used Sprint, ATTWS, T-Mobile, and Verizon. In my experience, Verizon and ATTWS cover the state far better than Sprint and T-Mobile. BTW don't consider Sprint's maps to be an accurate description of their coverage. At least T-Mobile's maps seem to be pretty accurate. And as far as customer service goes, in my experience, T-Mobile and Verizon get 'A's, ATTWS gets a 'B' and Sprint gets an 'F'
I think a lot of customer service is questionable and a matter of opinion. Personally I think that Sprint PCS did fall in a rut for a long time but if you keep up with the current events the customer service of Sprint you will find that a turn around has happened. Great plans, great service, and finally they are starting to appreciate their current customer. Better upgrade plans than any other carrier.
Go for it! Though others may not agree, the maps are now very accurate. They are downloaded overnights through network computers to make sure they are correct. You will love your Sprint Service. I do, most people I know do. But I agree with some of the comments regarding the handsets...... stay away from Samsung. So for the Sanyo. The have a new Camera phone with a full digital camera on the inside. Way cool.
Consider LG and Samsung to be one huge fire erupting and STAY AWAY from it! LG 5350 is the only phone to consider with LG, and I've never received so many complaints from my customers as I've had with Samsung phones. It seems that the a400 was the only good phone that they made, and they discontinued it 2 months after it was made...guess they like their reputation of bad phones. Sanyo's kick major ___, and act like a souped up phone when you place any other phone against it. I sold out of a best buy in east ft. lauderdale, and all the phones were live demos and no other phone could achieve 3 bars, where as the 4900 had 4 bars the whole time and never fluctuated. Sanyo doesn't have the best looking phone in the 4900, but if you're willing to spend the money on the 5300, at least you know you'll be loving your product later on! The n400 has either a bad batch floating around with major glitches, or it's just a horrible phone plain and simple! Sprint service overall is spotty, but which service isn't. Try it for the first 14 days and make sure it's with a Sanyo!
Hey RX 787, I am in Plantation right next store to you! I just cancelled with Sprint and now I have Verizon. I am able to make calls at Ft.Lauderdale International Airport and many places around Dania Beach where Sprint would either drop the call or I would not have service at all. Do you have Sprint And Verizon? And if so, which do you think has better overall coverage than the other? One thing I noticed lately is that my Samsung A310 phone roams where it should not. Do you think it is the phone or the network maybe?
I hate to say it, but Sprint PCS is the clearest out of all the services, but I've been hearing good things about the motorola v60(any letter). I currently use the audiovox, although it's not a bad phone, I'm not crazy about it now. I want to try the v60i on my verizon service to see if the phone truly does make the difference. Although sprint is clearer, I get dropped calls in my plantation area but it has improved over the last 2 months, boca raton is notorious for dropped calls(only has 1 or 2 towers) and on rare occassions when I drive from West Palm Beach going south on I-95 or north towards Palm Beach. Otherwise Sprint isn't that bad as people make it out to be. I've had HORRIBLE experience with Samsungs, and the LGs are no better! I wish Sanyo would throw out a nice stylish phone without the ridiculous 400 dollar tag that way more and more sprint users would have a nice reliable sanyo phone instead of passing up the "bigger and bulkier" 4900 and actually start experiencing some nice reliable and clear sprint pcs service. Phone does make a difference with sprint, and probably does with other carriers too, and until I get the chance to test out the v60i on the verizon network, I will stick to my guns and say that sprint is clearer than verizon, but verizon is 10 times more reliable, but I have found areas where verizon doesn't work so it isn't perfect, although no service is regardless how great experience any customer has had. And it makes me feel stupid everytime I sell a customer a phone stating "50-70 kbps/sec" when through my experiences it feels more like a 14.4kbps modem downloading an mp3! Vision is slow, but fun if you have the time, but if reliability is an issue, go with verizon but expect to pay full retail price for phones if you upgrade b4 the end of the 1st 10 months of your contract while with sprint you pay the normal price whenever you want to upgrade.
Check Out Nextels Coverage map. They have the nations largest digital footprint and more complete coverage in FLA
I did check & am switching from the home cingular plan that was 39.99 to the Nextel 10,000 breakthrough plan for 54.99. Better deal & Nextel coverage looks good.
