OK I know this is a stranger then strange question....

but does anyone know if any of Sprints current phones have a flashlight feature?

I'm with cingular now and have a sony w800 phone which uses the "flash" led to mimic a flashlight. actually its pretty bright and strong close to a pen light.

    thanks in advance,

Some of the Sanyo phones have a feature like that, but it's buried so far in the menu, and so poorly categorized that you might not ever find it. I have a Sanyo 9000 and it's under the camera features. Real convenient! (lol) :loony:

I have a Sanyo 8300 & my "mini flashlight" is also under the camera feature. I believe I tried it once, to see if it worked, but found it to be a real PIA.:(
So I really don't use it at all.

The flashlight on the Sanyo phones is a lot more user-friendly when the side-key guard is disabled.

I used my iPAQ like a flashlight the other night. I came home and the power was out. I clicked the camera key, then hit the flash button on the screen. The little white LED stayed on constant and it was pleanty to navigate the stairs and such. Its not advertised as a flashlight, but it sure came in handy.
