Last night I succesfully flashed my Verizon v3m to alltel and was wondering if it was possible to flsh to sprints gui. I really like the gui on sprints razr. I read an old post that said it couldn't be done but was hoping that something had changed.

    Thanks !

I'm pretty sure it can't because Sprint uses GSM while Verizon and Alltel use CDMA. I don't know much about them, except that I guess GSM uses SIM cards, and CDMA doesn't or something. But as far as I know, they're not compatible because they're different technologies.

Sprint actually uses CDMA as well. The reason it wont work is because they authenticate their data services VERY differrently. You could flash, but the only thing that would work is voice. I dont even believe text messages would work, nevermind GIN, MMS, or WAP. Im with you, I would love to be able to, b/c what Sprint DOES do differently is, they use Java rather than Brew, and that would be nice.

:D Yep, its tough to keep track of who has what. What is nice though is the CDMA world is starting to catching up to the GSM world. At least we have our monsters now..for a while, it was mainly upgrade flashes.
