Fingerprint fade update fix coming

    Apple preparing software update to enhance functionality of iPhone 5s Touch ID

    I may be seeing this. I've notice my thumb is hard to recognize. Or it may be that my thumb has become cracked and dry with the weather. Index finger is good.

    I redid my thumb print and it fixed the problem, but it returned a day or two later.

    Anyone else?

    No problems yet for me. I do think I configured my thumb twice, so maybe I fixed the problem before it ever was a problem.

    I redid my fingers again..this time moving my fingers around more than keeping them static. Seem to be more robust now. Have four fingers entered.

    No question that iOS 7.1 fixed the fingerprint fading for me!

    No errors since the update.

    I will have to test this on my 5S at some point. I had to set the same finger up for all 4 in order for it to work each time. If this did in fact fix the scan issue, it will be nice to add more than one finger for added security.

    I now have 4 individual, different fingers in place. Works very, very well now

    I've set up a test with 2 fingers now on my 5S and so far it does appear to be working much better than it did when I set it up for the first time on launch day. Good to see a fix for this as I really do like the added security that the Fingerprint scanner brings with it.

    The 7.1 fingerprint fix is still going strong. Has been tremendously more reliable. Still have damp finger errors, after taking shower.
    Overall, I can say it is in the category of being reliable now. With all fingers used.
