Hello all! I've got confused from all previously posted messages here, in NORTHEAST (NYC area). Let's play this poll. Put all available providers in the order like(based on your own experience) 1. ... 2. ... 3. ... 4. ... 5. ...
1. Nextel 2. Verizon 3. Voicestream 4. Cingular (Once is does come to the NYC area early next year.) 5. AT&T 6. Sprint 7. MCI Worldcom
Oh please Sprint was the one that took the JD Powers award for NYC. I'm sure they don't deserve a #6 ranking.
Okay, okay. Everyone else seemed to submitting based on subjective feeling rather than fact. I was just having fun. It seems no one can agree who is best. This all comes back to my initial take: "Best is perceptual based on personal experience and likes/dislikes."
Here is a dealer prospective on all northeast services: 1.Voicestream 2.AT&T 3.Verizon 4.Nextel Too low to rank: Sprint and MCI Worldcom
I need to revised this. The following is the order in which it ought to be: 1)Verizon 2)Sprint pcs 3)AT&T 4)Nextel 5)Voicestream
judging from what friends have had experience with with Sprint, I wouldn't use Sprint in this area right now unless they cound promise me better service that what they have been giving people here......meaning clear signals, no dead space, less dropped calls, less static, and a phone that rings inside a building.
SweetBoxx seems to be a little confused about how wireless service works. That happens with every carrier as pointed out earlier. Sprint was rated no 1 by JD Power in only the NY market, as compared to AT&T being ranked no 1 in 13 out 0f 20 major markets nationwide. Sprint lagged behind the pack in customer service in a big way. The reason that they are number 1 in NY and only NY is due to the fact that they have the strongest footprint in that metro area. Good luck if you leave any major populated areas though.
Wrong. Sprint also won the award for St. Louis. You obviously didn't read the results too carefully. They also won the Dallas award in 1999 and 2000 but of course that doesn't count now.
Sorry Larry, I must have missed that. I may be a AT&T Wireless user, but I have to give credit where credit is due. Sprint does have superior coverage in NY and it shows in the JD Power surveys
