    Hello all,
I am trying to find current models of handsets that are Field Test, Net Monitor, and/or Debug capable. I need this for both GSM and CDMA networks. I found several websites with old information on them, but I need to find newer models.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Thank you. Do you know if the 6315i is a current or an older model.

I've had it for a little more than a year, and it was still a current model in stores as of early 2008.

Pantech is a "Ghost Manufacturer", that builds phones for other companies to re-brand as their own, i.e. Nokia, but doesn't sell phones under their own name..

I believe that many of their other models use the same code sequence to put them into debug/netmonitor mode as well, but I don't have a cross reference as to which other phones they make, or the brands they are sold under.

Maybe someone else here can provide a more thorough list of phones made by Pantech, or try a Google or wikipedia search.

The LG Rumor requires your MSL lock code to get into debug mode. My previous LG phones did not. Luckily I wrote that number down when I activated my phone.

    ##DEBUG# and then lock code.

Pantech makes their own phones as well, I have only noticed them on GSM carriers.

GSM test mode is harder to come buy, but it you but a higher end Nokia you can download field test software. Nokia must operate using Symbian S60.

Windows mobile based phone for GSM and UMTS can run field test and some have it hidden. I dont know about CDMA based Windows phones.

I have field test mode enabled on all of my GSM Motorolas, and on my Windows Mobile devices as well.

Field Test mode is on the LG AX4270, the LG AX300, the LG Scoop from Alltel, as well as many other LG models.

Also, the Alltel LG phones let the user program the NAM settings
(to be able to use another network, while locking out your home network).

To get to field test mode with my LG AX4270, press menu, 0, then the service code is 000000.
    Goto "field tests", then "screen."

I like viewing the signal strength, the SID/NID/channel, Ec/Io,
and the active pilots (PN) (the numbers correspond to the tower(s) serving the call).
