From our friends at WPS Antennas, it's a list of popular handsets and how to put them into field test mode.

Add HTC to the list, the wizard (probably others as well) dial *#*#364#*#* that will access "Engineering mode"

Hey weren't you trying to figure out how to get debug mode on your blackberry the other day? This comes in handy.

Yeah, but that is not the real debug menu. That option just gives db levels and network name. I wanted more info ;)

I can't seem to get my E815 into Test Mode. I get into the menu, enable it by pressing select, exit the menus and nothing happens. Tried powering off, nothing happens. It turns back on like normal and I go back into the menu and it has test mode disabled.

Anyone know the trick? I could do it on my V710 before....

    EDIT
Ok nevermind, I just waited a little longer before turning it back on and it worked....

:D Neat site, my A930 and my LG 4270 weren't listed but getting to the debug menu was the same procedure as the A950/A850 and the LG 3300 respectively; I am glad to know what to look for in order to check signal strength.:browani:

It's a shame this can't be done on GSM phones as easily as CDMA & iDEN phones.
Nice information & I think this could also be a sticky.

Does anyone have link to what some of what the information on the screens mean. I understand a some of it. Such as MN/A and it represent the strength, I noticed it gets a lower number in a better signal area. I googled but couldn't find anything. Also wondering how I would determine the decibels from that number.

All the LGs I've ever seen allow Field Test Mode by hitting MENU>0

Ditto. I've been wondering this for a while too. Anyone know a good website that will explain this? Or even be kind enough to explain it yourself?!

You're welcome, as soon as I found it I knew I had to post it here. I know when I was a newbie I would have killed for a list like this.

I'm not a newbie and I'd still kill for a list like this when it came to HTC stuff. :p

Here's the list I found while trying to figure out how to put my phone in Test mode:

    http://www.wpsantennas.com/pdf/testmode/FieldTestModes.pdf

From what I can tell, it has a few more models on it than the Wilson list but most of them are worded the exact same.

Also, if anybody knows how to interpret what all those numbers mean, as Strunke mentioned that would also be very interested. I've searched and been unable to find out how to decipher most of them.
