Okay people, lets hear what are your favorite current commericals out there right now.....I'll start if off: 1. CitiCard Services where they have the person who has stolen the credit cards speaking while the victim lip sincs it. What a riot! My favorite one BY FAR is where the Dental Hygenist is sitting there and lips sincs to "Larry". He talks about being the "babe magnet" and getting "a body wax on the old chasis.....OUCH". I still almost cry from laughing so hard when I see that one. 2. Nike Golf. Frank, Tiger's headcover, is in Tiger's garage and is taking $ to let other pro golfers see the new Nike drive. David Duval, who has lost his game over the last year or so, takes a swing and smashes the window of Tiger's SUV....and the alarms go off. Everyone runs off and then Duval returns and puts the driver back in Tiger's bag. Frank yells at Duval "best contact you've had in a year, Duval!" They also have one where Charles Barkley is swinging the club and Frank says "I'm not sure if that was a seizure or a golf swing."
OMG!!!! YESSS!!!! I love this commercial!!! I too laugh my off everytime I see it!!! I also like the one with "My girl robot..." I also like the Direct TV commercials where the actors read customers' letters...Joan Cusack cracks me up!
Hmm, I wonder what these "commercials" are......... Seriously, after 4+ years of living with a TiVo DVR (the Sony SAT-T60 in my case, sadly discontinued) I now ONLY watch a commercial that is particularly intriguing. All the others go into the "FFx3 (fast forward @ 3 times normal speed) archive" (thankfully).
This is probably, for limited portions of the NE, but there is a commercial, for 6 flags Amusement. An old, old, man gets out of the bus, thinks about 6 flags and then dances wildly, in fast forward. This one really is cool.
definately gotta be the boost mobile commercials.... where they have old white people talking like black urban youths.... or the ones with the trunk monkies...
my wife loves the universal commercial with the lady with the big chest behind captain america mine right now is the sportscenter one with lance armstrong pedalling to keep the power on at the studio
How about the Holiday Inn Express commerical where the guy is on Jepardy? When he says to Alex "What is NO" I crack up....
I think ESPN's commeicals are among the best in the business. I love when they do the ones in the ESPN offices and in the background you'll see college and pro mascots walking around like it is business as usual. Pretty cool stuff.
Another one that I thought was funny was played around Easter time. It's a commercial for Toys R Us. It's with all the bunnies multiplying and singing "Here comes peter cotton tail...hopping down the bunny trail"..etc... and Jeffrey the giraffe...saying all right all right we'll have the sale...just stop singing!!!.. I thought that one was funny.....
I love the Jack-in-the-Box commercials. The Chipotle one was great, a lot of the other ones were a riot. Also the old SprintPCS commercial featuring "Panda-Clause" was great, too.
The Tmobile commercials are GREAT because of the HOT women Also i like the Sprint PCS commercials Debbie is soooo cool ... she is awsome The worst commercials for buisness have to be ATT "how many bars do you have?" and Verizon Wireless's In-network with the clowns... and their one with the guy saying can you hear me now also the older one with the guy at the beach and his brother in Alaska both with Verizon's IN-Network so the guy from alaska could hear the beach.
I havn't seen any Boost Mobile commercials even though they sell around here... but I did hear one over the phone when someone had it in the Background. It was pretty funny from what I could make out .
I have TiVo. I don't watch commercials... though on those rare occasions when we are watching live TV, I have noticed a general upswing in the quality of said commercials. I should investigate Sirius or XM... I hate the commercials over the radio, especially the GIANT SHOUTING HEAD COMMERCIALS FOR CAR DEALERSHIPS and also the freak who does the Sit 'N Sleep commercials. ("You're KILLING ME Larry!") Radio used to have some decent commercials. Anyone in New Jersey remember "Levinson, Axelrod, Wheaton, Glazell, Caulfield, Marcolis and Dunn"? If you could say their name without pausing they'd take your case on a contingency basis. Also, "take the 6-0-5 to South Street..."
Advertisers are realizing that one way to get people to watch them is design commercials that can pique your interest in one frame, encouraging you to go back. But really what you're seeing is a trend away from the :30. Advertising is changing a lot -- large companies like Target and Best Buy do it in house now -- and eventually you may see free television go away for the most part. HBO has done a nice job at proving the latter part is possible. Best commercials right now.. I like the ones with Lance riding across the country. Best of all time: - Nike spot where the world goes into slow motion as Jordan dunks over some Lakers - Jordan vs. Bird playing horse - Coke with Mean Joe Greene - Sega's "Welcome to the Next Level" campaign - One of my all time favorites ... VW "Synchronicity" click here (the quicktime doesn't represent it, but everyone is walking in time in the last wide shot as well) here's another classic
Lol, Zaphod, those lawyer ones do crack me up with the 6 names. I must reiterate the ones mentioned here: 6 flags, Boost, and the CitiBank cards. Almost all credit card's have fraud protection, it isn't that big of a deal CitiBank! I really used to like the Sprint PCS commercials, the one with shamu was a good one. Edit: Chef reminded me how much I hate those Target commercials. Ugh.
How about Wireless commericals out there? I like the one where the lady in the school lunch room tells the kid "you've gone over your macaroni minutes this month....it's $49.50...how do you want to pay?" Nextel's where the tech guy with the direct connect saves the day with the guy's computer is pretty good. The tech guy reminds me of SNL's "Nick Burns, your company's computer guy". Alltel's where the guy took the roof off of his house for better wireless is pretty good too. Joan Cusack's ones for US Cellular are pretty good too. She's just a little too quirky for me. Of course any T-Mobile ad with Catherine Zeta Jones works for me. :browani: Worst wireless commericals? ATTWS "How many bars do you have" commericals are terrible. Cingular's are pretty bad too. But Verizon's "Can you hear me now" was good initially, but they've run it into the ground like a Hootie and the Blowfish song...... Lastly, I like Robert Duvall's commerical for Direct TV (okay it's not wireless) where he reads the letter from some guy named Jason. At the end Duvall says "I think Jason's confused....." Pretty good stuff. Fishburn's where he ends up saying "Thank YUUUUUEW" like a rock star is good too.
Go to http://www.boostmobile.com/blounge_media.html and you can watch some of them. One of the old ladys goes "You wanna come to a bangin party you?" and the other one says "Yea, were getting all tens kind of nasty up in here" Its so funny!!
