Is it possible to extend the length of video recording on the sprint model of the Motorola V3m without voiding the warranty? I remember reading something about being able to increase recording time with BitPim up to 2 minutes and 40 seconds, is that legal or would that void the warranty? Any ideas with this or any other method? Thanks in advance.
This was possible with the Verizon v3m. It was not possible with the Alltel/USCC v3m. So I dont know if it is possible with the Sprint v3m. Here is the walkthru I did for the Verizon v3m...you can look to see if it is similar, but I highly doubt it will be... http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/418364-post2.html Now, if that doesnt look like it will work for you, you can try another method that works on the Alltel v3m. You can go into the settings menu for the video camera, change the destination to the memory card, and it will record for longer time. If u leave it on the phone's memory, it will only go for 15 seconds. Let me know if one or the other work.
Thanks for the reply, I didn't see any settings to save the video to the memory card...before I do the bitpim thing, i wanted to make sure that it will not void the warranty...will it?
hmm...i did find the option to save it to the external memory after all....however the phone still only records 30 second clips just as it did before I made the switch...weird. Oh well.....any other advice people?
