LOL, you yourself have plenty of the same kinds of reactions "this works for me, so I don't care" and that's natural -- since we're not talking "world peace", these small things are actually only important as far as we ourselves are concerned. As for Android features that are missing on iOS... let me put it this way: had my wife not had an iPhone I wouldn't care either :D But every time I have to pick it up I get reminded ;)

I've used Audiobooks by Amazon (Audible.com) which have alway been available in the cloud to redownload. In fact the Audiobook app, restores them automatically.

But for Apple users, this came out last week.

    "
Apple recently updated its policy on audiobooks, allowing customers who have purchased audiobooks directly from Apple to re-download them using iTunes in the Cloud through iBooks on iOS devices or through iTunes on a Mac or PC. Audiobooks are now listed in a customer's iBooks purchase history and can be re-downloaded just like standard e-books"

Unfortunately it doesn't help with sideloaded audio books

The update does what it says. Allows re-downloading of audiobooks from the cloud that were purchased from Apple. It didn't promise anything more. Unfortunate perhaps, but not anticipated either.

I'm not sure I can swallow the statement: "if you want a third-party mobile app experience that remains miles beyond anything else available, iOS is it."
