Somebody's showing off Rev A. It's a Vegas zipcode so could be a demonstration at a conference. Or perhaps it is a Sprint employee testing Rev A and is showing off. http://www.dslreports.com/archive/spcsdns.net 2995/1097 EVDO.rev.A anon @ 89104 www.dslreports.com 3100/1800 21st 02:42PM area2.spcsdns.net 2984/1349 EVDO.rev.A anon @ 89104 www.dslreports.com 3100/1800 21st 02:44PM area2.spcsdns.net 2905/909 Sprint anon @ 89104 www.dslreports.com 3100/1800 21st 02:39PM area2.spcsdns.net 1503/110 blazin anon @ 59128 lakeville.speedtest.front 21st 11:07AM area2.spcsdns.net 1442/103 WOW! anon @ 74126 www.everestkc.net 700/100 14th 02:15PM area5.spcsdns.net
Didnt they upgrade the Vegas area Netwrok (or at least one specific area) to Rev. A for CES this year?
There have been several tests posted in the last month+ with different Vegas zipcodes so I'm guessing it is about a metro upgrade rather than a demo at conference.
Come on Sprint, the least you could do is get EV-DO down here. It's only a 90 mile drive. Those are some nice speed results, probably data card though. I would like to see some phone speed tests.
Don't expect much from inphone data use, such as internal web browsers. Rev 0 phones that are USB tethered to laptop aren't quite as fast as max capability of Rev 0 cards and may also be the case for Rev A. Sprint plans to do nearly 100% of network to EVDO Rev A by end of 2007. The iPCS areas though may take longer.
Wirelessly posted (Samsung-SPHA920 AU-MIC-A920/2.0 MMP/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1) Will current EVDO customes need equip. upgrades for Rev A or is the current equip. compatible?
