I there a wireless router available that would be the Access Point for an EVDO PC Card? I heard a few vendors sell a router that you can slide you EVDO card in, and allow other PC's to use that signal for your internet...

    Any comments or suggestions.?

Linksys, Kyocera, TopGlobal, and a couple of other companies make them. You might want to check out the forums at EVDO Forums - EV-DO Discussion, Support, Coverage, Compatibility, Tips, Verizon, Sprint, KR1, WRT54G3G-ST : EVDOforums.com for more specific information. I have a Kyocera KR-1 (Kyocera PC Mobility - Kyocera KR1 Mobile Router) and have been quite pleased with it, but there are newer models out there. - sheureka

With your Kyocera unit, does the data card from the mobile BB provider have to be vendor specific (ie. Kyocera)? I have a Novatel data card and want to know if that would work in your unit.

I have the Kyocera router and use my Novatel S720 card in it and it works just fine, just make sure you have to most recent firmware on the router.

I have a KR1 router with Kyocera KPC650 EVDO card. My router at least once per day flakes out and loses connection. The red status indicator lights up on front. Has anyone else experienced this? My laptop will always have connection to the access point, the router or data card seem to lose internet connectivity.
