Hello! I have been reading this forum ever since I bought my v3m.... and I regret every minute of it! lol

This has been the hardest phone to get into.

So I have been reading the wiki:

    http://www.motov3m.com/tiki-index.php?page=SEEM

Been trying to do this but I have met a wall in doing so. When trying to run the Motorola_Software_Update, which everyone tells me to download, It gives me this error:

    http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y69/jbomber/v3merror.jpg

This is the most :censored:ed up error I have ever seen in my life. I have IE 6. I have also tried this on my brothers computer, who I even updated windows for, still gets the error. Now I have no I idea why I get this, and I can not continue untill I beat this. What I think, is since IE is NOT my defult browser, (firefox is), is why I get the error. My brother uses FireFox as well. If anyone can tell me how to beat this, I would give you the internets, lol. I don't want to uninstall Firefox, since I dont want to lose all my stuff. I want to seem my v3m becasue I want to add my own ringtones. I have tried the latest version of MPT v4.04 i think it is now, I forgot since I uninstalled it, but the thing would not detect the phone.

I really hate this phone. I bought a micoSD card, I should get it in a few days, however I just read that it will not allow me to add my own ringtones. :(

any tips would be great! thanks

Not sure what OS version you are running but MSU works only with Win 2000 (SP4) and WinXP SP2. Are you using something other than one of these?

Yes I am using windows xp with sp2. And so did my brother, and he has his windows updated from time to time. (the windows product update)

I went to download IE from the windows website and it told me I already had the up to date version.

    :(

    I still get the error.
