On my account I have enhanced voicemail, the thing I like best about it is the warning beep you get every minute you do not check a message whether it be a voicemail or text.
Although not a dealbreaker for my 6230 I do not get that warning beep like I did with my V3, any suggestions? Thanks
Also another thing I learned today is the profiles on the 6230 i.e. silent meeting etc. only works for incoming calls not text messages. I had the phone set to silent mode when I went to church, unfortunately I got a text message which was not so silent.:lmao: I guess you have to manually change the settings on the text end.

Joe, are you sure about that? Aren't there 3 options under each profile, Activate, Personalize & Timed? So if you go into the "Personalize" you should be able to set up how you want the voice & the data calls to behave under each profile, and that will stay that way until you change it. I have my phone on "meeting" almost all day at work & I remember the text coming in as vibrate also. Also in the timed you can have the profile switch back after the specified time period...right?

Charlyee is right. The silent mode can be made for SMS and attached to a profile. But within a profile, you have to turn both the 'Message Alert Tone' and the 'Incoming Call Alert' off. Also, probably should set to off the 'Warning Tones' too. All of these options are in each profile you make.

Works fine for me; vibrates both for messages and normal calls. Good Luck

Welcome another 6230 user. I will be keeping that phone for backup, if I get the 6126 in July

Yes Charlyee, I know about the options but you have to go in and change the settings manually unless my phone went crazy for a minute. I had it set for silent and figured everything else would be the same until I got a text message, thank you.:)

If you have the silent profile set up properly you shouldn't get anything at all from your handset: no sound for warning tones, message tones or voice call ringing tones.
