Pretty much, there are large areas that are gprs only though, especially when it comes to regional Roaming partners.

Nope, TMO is a bit late on that one. I think by the time TMO is 100% EDGE Cingular will be 100% 3G.

Don't be so sure Jay, I'm putting money on the fact that Tmo will be fully built out on W-CDMA before Cingular will.

i am too......I checked out Cingular's 3G coverage....they've been working on it for some time and they still havent gotten super far.....Tmobile says they will have UMTS built out by 2008.......Tmobile will be way ahead of Cingular if im forecasting this correctly.......and EDGE will probably be finished before then

im putting my money on the fact that by the end of 2008.......Tmobile will have the best network regardless of how many customers they have

Well I kind of hope so, having switched to T-mo (from Cingular) I was a little surprised that in my area they only have GPRS. Not too big a deal as they have good coverage where I live, have yet actually find a dead spot. Just no EDGE.

Who could miss the Spectrum Auction announcement that Tmobile put out, the figure is so massive that even the blind could read it.

yeah........they did buy a lot of spectrum......this means that T-Mobile and Cingular will be head-to-head by 2008.......only one thing will make T-Mobile better.....prices that are easier on the wallet than Cingular's and better value than Cingular's
