I hope everyone is all right that lives in California, especially Central California, and the rest of the state of California.

I am saying a prayer that no one on the forum was injured, or no one you know was injured.

Um, no. We didn't feel the quake up here. I'm a few hundred miles north of where it was.

It's weird, because only about 70 miles south of me they did feel it, but up here we didn't, I guess it's the geology up here or something, I am glad no more than 2 people died, but I feel sad for their families and for the loss of property in Paso Robles. I have been through there many times on Amtrak and 101, it's a beautiful old town, very historic and on the kings highway. San Simeon, the tiny town I love so much to visit, and only 7 miles from the quake (hence the name of the quake), came through fine, and the historic Hearst Castle is undamaged, Mr.Hearst built that thing pretty darn strong from what I can tell. I understand the UPRR and Amtrak were holding trains through that area (that is the UP's Coast Division) for a while today while the track was inspected, but so far all looks good and everything should be up and running again by now.

    San Simeon Quake

I work in Orange County (So Cal)...I was the only one in my office to feel it...I felt a "force" (Ceno were you there??) pulling me slightly from side to side...I thought my eyes were buggin on the computer screen or something...when I noticed my miniblinds slightly swaying, I sighed with relief & realized it wasn't me!! (or was it??)
