"Are we there YET?!" This is the first time I've ever preordered a phone. It feels like forever (in having to wait). But, in reality, its only been one week. I'm getting all jittery, nervous, squirmy, can't sit still in my seat. Still have (at most) 10 more days.
@dmapr: No, maintaining that first one was a pain in the posterior. Really, I was trying to drive more traffic to the site other than just the word thread. Surprisingly, it got 1,301 views! I never expected that. But now that you mention it, I'd like to encourage not only you but all the regulars here to come up with new material to post. This is such a wonderfully friendly community but I've noticed long periods of silence. I realize I'm in a unique position in that I don't have much of a life because of my health. I know most everyone is busy making a living, raising a family, and whatnot. But I'm sure there's a story just waiting to bust out of some of you. Maybe not the Great American Novel, but something to encourage participation here.

I guess not all Best Buy personnel are created equal (LOL). When I originally pre-ordered, I was told I'd have the option of the Gear S2 or a 256GB MicroSD. Just last night, I saw an ad for Best Buy. It was not the Gear S2 (approx $300), it is the Fit2 ($179, and now $149). I went back today, they confirmed the Fit2. I spoke to the store manager and told him I was not upset or angry, but he needs to educate the phone crew about the offers. I told him I had them repeat 3 times that it was Gear S2 and explained the difference between it and the Fit2. Three times they assured me it was Gear S2. (I checked the contract and paperwork I was given. No specific item was designated. Only "one accessory and a charger.") He offer to "make things right for me," but I once again assured him that I'm not bringing this to his attention because I am angry or feel cheated. I said it was an obvious lack of understanding on his sales crew's part. I asked only that he educate them on the offers. He appreciated my reasonableness and understanding. So now I am opting for the MicroSD card instead. Still have until the 19th (unless pre-orders get early treatment).
