I am trying out a Moto E815. so far so good but I have a question about using a ringtone.

I am sure I have done this with other Moto phones but I can't figure this one out.

I sent an mp3 ringtone to my E815 via my 1234567890@vzwpix.com. The phone received it fine and it plays fine under "sounds" but for the life of me I can't figure out how to make it my ringtone. I went through all the menu's and I cannot find such an option. If I go to settings>ringstyle>detail the file I sent to the phone does not appear there, just the stock ringtones.

I find the file in media gallery>sounds but I can't find or figure out what option to use to apply it as my ringtone.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thanks as always!!

I found what seems to have been the problem.

I sent the same file to the phone again but changed it to a .mid file. When I got the option to save it this time I also got the option to apply as a ringtone.

When I sent it to the phone as a .mp3 file I just got the option to store only and no option to save as a ringtone.

This is a classic problem of verizon trying to make sure you use their ringtones.

I am at media-convert as stated here in the thread. I am trying to convert MP3 to MIDI. I can not figure out how to do it. I was able to succesfully convert a WMP file to MP3 and now I am trying to convert it to a MIDI so I can out it on my phone. No luck.

When I put in the file in the input section it will not give me a MIDI option in the out put section. Anyone?
