Went out to the web, but could not find anything to help on this.

Most phones talked about removing some grommets, then taking a special screwdriver, unscrew 2/3/3 screws to remove the face-plate. Smae for the back-plate, too.

I could never figure out how to remove the faceplate on the v710/e815, and believe me, I tried. There are no little rubber grommets covering screw holes, like on other Motorola models and you can't slide the e815's faceplate off.

My suggesting is that you get a purchase a cell phone opener, similar to the one sold here and a T6 driver, like the one sold here and try using the cell phone opener to gently pop the faceplate off the front of the phone. It is my theory that, between the T6 driver and the cell phone opener, you should be able to figure out how to get it off relatively quickly.

Be careful, though, seriously careful. I was trying to get my friend's v710 apart and had to stop because I thought I was about to crack the front faceplate. Who knows what else would have been damaged if that had happened.

This is a hard phone to get apart, to be sure, so please be careful.

RyanB: I hope this can help you. I came across this when I used an E815. Never got one, but it sure is a nice way to update or change your phone.
