    1.)

I live in my parents house at the moment and don't use there landline anyway. (I leave the house at 6am and get back at 11:30 pm every weekday, and i am gone every weekend, land line wouldn't make any sense anyway)

    2.)

With the people i talk too during the day the most ( namely my girl, and about half my friends) all switrching to verizon in the next month, the anytime won't be an issue. Thanx for the thought though.

Thanx for the welcome. I will definately remeber to get the credits when I can. One of my friends out at UNCONN just got a contract and gave my name and number in. In fact here is the email convo between us from today.

"<FONT size=2>I think I understand everything. If not, I'll put them on hold and call
    you.
    THANK YOU!!!!!

The phone number for Verizon that you need to call is 1-800-922-0204. Your will want to tell them that you would like to get new service. Be prepared to give them your credit card info (yes they accept AMEX), license info (id # and state), and Soc. #. The plan you want is the Americas Choice 400 plan that includes 300 anytime+ 100 bonus minutes, 1000 mobile to mobile minutes, unlimited, nights, unlimited weekends, and free long distance.
You want a 1 year contract ( don't let them persuade you to do 2, tell them you are moving soon and don't want to be stuck with a 2 year if you move to France next year.) The phone you want is the LG vx2000. Tell them to send you a copy of your contract and all the materials you would need to mail it back if needed. Now for the important part. Below is my work address. You want them to next day it to that address and for Andrew Brown to sign for it. This way I can set up your phone, your voice mail, and learn everything you would need to know about it, and then teach you at Yale how to use it. If you want to do it that way go ahead. If you want to get it at Storrs go ahead. Please email me at this work email between 9 am and 5 pm for getting me a messages ok. I will be calling you momentarily.

the reason we did it this way is because she is phone phobic (I am one of 4 people she will spen more than 5 minutes on the phone with.) and wanted a cell phone so she could eliminate her $50-150/ month calling card bill. The best part for her is, myself and the other 2-3 people she spends the most weekeday time on teh phone with...are all VZW customers now (yay 1000 M2M). So tomorow I will be setting up her new VX2000 for her and on saturday when i see her she will have a cool new phone and number. hmmm...I will be speed dial one, put E on 2, put J on 3, T on 4........

    anyhow back to work.

Next mission, get my girlfriend a phone [IMG]</FONT>
