I found my Droid was a bit more responsive and had a lot less crashes... there's another update rumored to be coming out on 1/11/10... wonder what this will fix??

I wonder if it will be the Android 2.1 update that will already be on the Google phone Nexus One?

The rumor on droidforums.net is that there will be 5 screens for those who have already downloaded a "sneak peek" of the 2.1 OS. I'm looking forward to it to, as I prefer to see more of the icons and less folders, but I needed certain widgets, so they're taking up all the space...

    Gee....life's tough, isn't it? LOL

I feel like the droid can handle one more 'row' it seems our widgets/icons are a bit to spaced out....

I don't mind the space between widgets & icons...if they were too close together, Id be squinting with my old, tired eyes. ;)

    That's true.

I also realized the spacing makes it a bit more finger friendly....

...but sometimes i wish my widgets would just fill more of the screen, like the way it did on...::gasp::...WinMo (back then you could even have the widgets overlapping slightly).....

I agree that they could fix it and probably be able to add one more widget space to make it 5 across if they wanted to. I think, though, when the 2.1 comes out (I'm not installing it early), it'll be nice to have the 5 screens at that point.

Actually you can get the 5 home screens, and the new launcher without waiting for 2.1 or rooting your phone, and you get additional wallpapers from the 2.1 build (not the live wallpaper) install and enjoy :D

2.1 Launcher2.apk now for 2.0.1!! (2.1 app drawer and 5 screens) - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum
