The wife and I had planned on going to Florida on vacation, but hurricane Irma put a halt to that idea. We decided to go to Las Vegas instead, since we haven't been there in 30 years. We were going to stay on the strip, but the whole strip area is so different now with casinos built right out to the road, it's like driving through a tunnel. It wasn't that way 30 years ago. So we decided to stay downtown at Union Plaza, where we stayed in the past. The whole downtown area is covered now with the frontal marquee from the old casinos mounted. Zip lines by the top of the cover. Space for individual performers along the way. Open bars. Projections on the ceiling at night with bands and DJ music every night. It was pretty impressive.
