I had always worn a wristwatch but but found that really I didn't need one any longer as I could always check my mobile to check the time. Just wondered what other people's habits are.
There are times when I don't wear my wristwatch. My ability to check time on my mobile has nothing to do with whether or not I'm wearing my wristwatch.
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Depends on what I'm wearing at the time. I use my phone most of the time, though. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk!
I sometimes wear a watch and sometimes not. When I do not wear a watch I do not use my phone to check time. The only time I use my phone to check time is making sure what the local time is when traveling overseas. Very timely question actually. I was just mentioning to a few friends of mine that asked me why I wore a watch that it is because it is so much easier to turn my wrist than to take my phone from my pocket. Sitting in the car, it is not always easy to reach for the phone to check the time -- and then there are the CA state laws that prevent using a cellphone. If a cop just sees you holding the phone, it makes no difference what the reason was, he can pull you over. Besides, it truly is a safety factor, so a watch is great.
I almost never wear a watch. I do when getting dressed for a formal occasion, but otherwise, the clock on my phone works fine for me.
I don't wear a watch any more. I did when I worked, as you were not allowed to have your phone on you.
. What if your watch is a phone? I'm Watch brings old Android, new form factor to your wrist (video) -- Engadget ...actually, I still wear a regular (non-phone) watch. Simply because I'm lazy. It's alot easier to just turn your wrist a little and glance at it, rather than having to reach in your pocket, pull your phone out, look at it, and then put it back again. That's too much effort for me Plus a watch is not just for telling time, it's got the "style" factor going on too :coolshade. It's an extension of your personality. You can tell alot from a person by the type of watch they wear
I usually wear a watch. I will say that it was quicker and easier to peek at the front of a flip phone for the time vs. a flat panel smartphone and waking the screen.
I always (.9999) wear one. It's described on the left, as one of my "devices". It's less effort to see my wrist, than to get phone out of my pocket and turn on the screen backlight. My quarter century in broadcasting colors this, of course,. where we schedule to and bill to the second. I haven't found a phone that displays seconds. And sometimes I see a difference in minutes between watch and phone (briefly). I trust the WWVB "atomic" watch more than wireless network time, because it's a simpler system. COtech
Actually, (at least for iOS) you can always go to the native app world clock and all time is to the second. Also, I have an app called Bulova which shows time down to the second with the face of an analogue chronometer. I find that wrist chronometers or even digital watches are very accurate, but at least my quartz digital does tend to gain ~3 or 4 seconds every couple of months. Close enough for government work
I used to always wear a watch, but always really cheap ones - I have this ridiculous habit of breaking what I own, and so the cheaper the better. Now, after years of doing this I randomly stopped and never got a new one - I just use my phone to tell the time now.
It's the same with me and pens. If I get a good one like a Cross I'll definitely lose it, but if I get a Bic I'll hold on to it forever.
