As in the subject. Do you use a case for your iPhone?

I'm using a TPU case that I got from amazon.com for only $1.50 but it works for me. It's got no bulk and shows the phone off through the clear case.

I voted no, mostly because I don't have an iPhone.

I understood it perfectly. It's a yes or no question, and saying yes would've been a lie. That left me with a no as the only possible answer.

I was just thinking about this the other day. I can't recall the last time I saw someone using an iPhone without a case/cover.

    (Didn't vote, no iPhone.)

I voted 'Yes' because I satisfied both parts of the question to merit a vote. 1) I own an iPhone and 2) I use a case.

Telekom don't worry about dmapr. It was a perfectly posed question, but Android users live in their own kind of 'walled garden'. ;)

I currently use the Magpul line of cases. I also sometimes use no case, with a Sena pouch, but mostly the Magpul Executive Field Case.

JFB, I have noticed a huge uptick in case-less iphones in the last year. I was on the Boston Subway yesterday and around my seat there were 9 people...all sporting iPhones...and 4 of them without a case.

Evidently you didn't since it asked about the iPhone. If you don't have an iPhone you shouldn't participate in the poll. This was a poll for those who have an iPhone. There's no requirement that you must participate in every poll posted to this board.

I use an Oakley Cylinder Block case with my white i4S. Sometimes I'll take the case off, but I usually always have some type of case on.

Actually, it's the programmer in me, not the Android user :p I would've voted exactly the same way even before I got the 'droid. You know, "only 10 kinds of people in the world" and all that goes with it ;)

I beg your pardon, it asked about the case as much as it did about the iPhone. I have a case, I don't have an iPhone, therefore, I don't use that case. Besides, while participation is indeed not necessary I really wanted to this time for reasons unknown.

My garden has no walls ;) I don't have an iPhone, nor a case, and it feels so gooood to be wild :p

Maybe because they aren't required anymore since Apple fixed the antenna problem with the iPhone 4S? ;)

There really is something just plain creepy the way non iPhone users love to worm their way into every WA iPhone related thread. Mostly in a negative way too and normally off topic.

    Just saying ...

    Not every one.:

I could continue -- all of those iPhone threads are dmapr-free :p

    Not always off-topic, either: http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/a...tions-recommended.html?highlight=iphone+photo

    I won't argue about creepy though :D

Personally, I don't search out iPhone threads specifically. I usually scroll to the bottom of the main forum page, look at the "Latest Posts" listed there and comment on them. If they are iPhone related, then so be it :). According to the "Top Posters (Last 45 days)" list, viewfly is #2, so there's a fair chance there's alot of iPhone threads going on ;) I wouldn't characterize my posts on iPhones as "negative", maybe just "showing the other side of the coin" to those who view Apple from a one-dimensional-can-do-no-wrong angle ;)

...as for "creepy", I assume you are referring to dmapr ;):D:p

Yes I agree. Flawed logic and a trolled thread. Must be the approaching midnight madness of the time zone change over.

But it also nearing time to pull out the blankets, milk and graham crackers. Maybe things will settle down after a nice nap.

I would ask JFB or one of the mods to clean up/ remove all the posts except for your first poll and appropriate responses to it.

Why is my logic flawed? There are four groups of people:
    1. Those who have both an iPhone case and an iPhone
    2. Those who have an iPhone, but no case
    3. Those who have an iPhone case, but no iPhone
    4. Those who have neither

Why is it OK for caseless iPhone-owners to participate but not OK for iPhoneless case owners?

Re: Do you use a case with your iPhone?

Because of the possessive case of 'you' used as an attributive adjective for 'iPhone' , there are only two possibilities.

    1. either you have a case for 'your iPhone'
    2. or you do not have a case for 'your iPhone'.

And if you do not accept that, then the english language conversational understanding of the thread question makes for only 2 possibilities to answer the question

I definitely use a case with my iPhone 4S. I love all the new colors of the Speck candyshell cases, and the protection that they offer. :)

Usually bulky covers are better with its protection. I don't mind having a bulky phone because of a big case in my pocket. I am more concerned about the protection factor. The best thing to do would be to have a balance between the bulkiness and the safety factor.

Makes sense. Everyone knows that white phones aren't as sturdy as black phones and can be damaged easier.

Yes i am using a case I just got from Cellphoneaccents. iPhones are expensive and must be protected at all costs from external damage.
