lol, I use the finger print scanner because I can unlock it with one hand, otherwise I need both hands to hold and swipe.
I'm not sure if you're serious or not. If you have any personal information on any smartphone even a lowly Winmobile 6.5 you need a security code to protect you unless you don't think your information is worth anything.
The only thing stored in my phone is the contact list on the SIM card. I don't store anything else on the phone. With as much as my employees play with any phone they see lying around, I don't keep anything personal on it.
Having a security code is made for such situations. Most people that I know who have smartphones use them as such and use them as if they were computers (which they really are.) If you have such undisciplined employees you've got bigger problems than security codes. In some businesses having employees do such things would be cause for termination.
To them, phones left lying around are toys. I'm not fond of this happening, but I make sure I keep my phone in my pocket, or in the safe.
Yeah I use a code. It's not super tricky and the numbers are close enough that I can do all the unlocking easily with just one hand.
Yes, but not because I am scared of someone taking it. I do it so my kids don't play with it without my permission.
This thread made me think. Whenever I am at work I cannot keep my phone in my pocket. There is nothing in my phone I need to worry about. But it is still my personal business, so locking it is not a bad idea.
If you have an iPhone and don't have a code, then you're really asking for trouble. An open iPhone gives you free access to any of the applications where you may have data stored, including all your email accounts, addresses, telephone numbers, personal notes, etc. Even an iPod which today is really a "smartpod", is an iPhone without the cellular connection in it, but it does everything else the iPhone does, so it should be secured somehow. And let's not get into the iPad.
