    Hello
I need to send photos from a cell phone to an email address. No biggie! I want the photos to come from a *real* digital camera with an SD memory card and to get them to the camera on a microSD card. Still no biggie, I got a SD carrier for a 1GB microSD card for $25 at Radio Shack.

What I really want is a cable which will plug into the microSD slot on my phone and allow me to put something else eg SD memory card on the other.

    Why on earth would anybody.....
You still get better images on a digital camera and I need to offer a system for people to send these photos as emails, people who do not have a computer! These people are old and have poor fine motor control and poor eyesight. If they drop the microSD it's gone!

    Thanks
    John

I don't think such a beast exists. Either buy a cell phone with a good camera on it, or buy a camera with Bluetooth on it so you can transfer the pics to the phone via BT.

In my experience, your target audience doesn't have a need for better than cell-phone quality pictures. You can find phones with 5 and 8MP cameras, but they don't get easier to use. I don't think that audience will do well with complicated procedures on the cell phone either.

    Thanks Spleck
That brings up another point. I'd really like to simplify the button presses to send an email. In my case it will always be the most recent photo to always the same address. I looked at the Motorola modding and it seems not to be covered. Maybe with the blackberry SDK it will be possible.

I keep hoping that with the proliferation of mobile phones, that someone could develop a powerful phone that truly was easy to use. They're getting better, but routine tasks are still not simple for most non-techs.

You can have powerful, or easy to use. Right now I don't think there is one device out there that is both. If you want easy to use try www.jitterbug.com
