Does your current plan have a feature that lets you call a certain amount of numbers you choose for free? Such as Friends & Family from Verizon, My Circle from Alltel, or My Faves from T-Mobile? Or maybe you don't need a My Circle / Faves / F&F feature with your plan. I'd like to know how many people have, or want, or don't need a feature like My Circle / Faves / F&F.
I don't have this feature yet but I do plan to add it in the future.. Thankfully most the people I talk to already have VZW
We switched from AT&T (due to dropped calls and an oversold network in our area) to Verizon in mid March and signed up for the 1400 Verizon Select FS plan that includes the 10 number Friends & Family feature. We used to use have the 2100 FS plan with AT&T. We would use around 1400 minutes per month on AT&T. Since switching to Verizon, we have seen our usage shrink to around 800 or so minutes per month. We absolutely love the F&F feature. We also have used 7 out of the 10 available F&F slots and plan on adding an additional business number in the future to the pool (since our main business number is the main line on the account).
I don't need this feature right now and probably not in the future. I recently ported my AT&T number to Vonage. I'm on Vonage's $25/mo. Unlimited plan, so the need for VZ's Friends and Family is nil. Also, a majority of friends and family are on Verizon anyway, so M2M takes care of 95% of the minutes I use a month. The nice thing is if I need the F & F feature from Verizon, it's available, so I'll never say never to taking advantage of it sometime down the road.
I've been using My Circle since late 2006 (my 1st cell phone), and I absolutely love it and need it. I go so far past 900 anytime minutes, and it's great to see 97% of my usage going under the Circle / M2M. We started out with 2 accounts, and each account had 10 Circle numbers (Me & my mom are heavy talkers, we're each on a different account, and so we each get all the circle numbers on our account). The add-a-lines on each account rarely use their phone to talk. After 2 years we were given a bonus number, and were just recently given an extra 5 numbers on each account (we're divested). So my family totals 32 Circle Numbers (and 16 are mine) I'm spoiled with too many Circle numbers, lol
We have a Loyalty Plan that includes MyFaves and M2M. I love the MyFaves because it covers the majority of my calls - my whole immediate family and my best friend are all in the M2M. The other five people I call are on MyFaves. Thus, I use a very small amount of anytime minutes... maybe to call the doctor, or something of that nature. The people I talk to on a daily basis are either m2m or are one of MyFaves!
No... Although I am a Verizon user, I am on the 700 minute family plan; so I don't qualify. I incurred overage last month, but it was only 3 minutes. That is hardly enough justification to spend $17 (after discount) for the higher priced plan. I just dumped my BlackBerry, so I am trying to rake in the dough for a little while. Besides, I dont normally come close to using up all the minutes.
I have no real need for the feature...at least not as long as I am with Sprint. Since their smallest family plan that includes messaging comes with 1500 minutes each month, that is usually more than enough. I did manage to use 1400 minutes this past month though, but that is about 200 more than my usual 1200 minutes that I use.
I have Friends and Family on my account with up to 10 numbers, but I don't even use them. I used to have Gamer's AT&T number as one, but now that he has switched to VZW it's free anyway. My whole family and most people I know and talk to are on VZW.
We have used 7 out of the 10 numbers on our account. We have our home phone number, my sister's home phone number in Nebraska, my uncle and aunt's home phone and cell phone number, my Google Voice number, and my sister's two friend's numbers listed.
I don't need it - I seldom use half of my minutes - but I'm on Sprint and take whatever I can add that's free. So I have their "secret" pick three and Sprint to home for a total of four "free" numbers on each line. - sheureka
I don't need it - never come close to using up my minutes and I'm already on the lowest minute package. Even if I could reduce the minute package, the few occasions my cell phone is used for voice are unlikely to be situations where I would have put the number on a "list".
