I've never seen a hack to change the font size. If you changed the size, all the info you normally see on that little screen wouldn't fit.
thank You jay for your quick reply. I only want the display of digital clock to be a little bit bigger and according to your reply it is not possible , is there any walk around? to dodge the problem ?
Years ago I was very active in hacking the Motorola phones, especially the V3 and the V551. I never encountered a hack to change that, and I think one would have to write custom firmware to accomplish that.

Sorry, I never wrote firmware. I would not be able to tell you how to do it. I know in hacking the phones you had to know how to hex edit.
Hi Jay can You show me how to edit hex ? thank you for the annswer of changing with the setting : "display then clock and choose large digital 12" I will try this . while waiting for the answer I play around and discover the following which seems to work , but not very good. go into "Pictures" and display the list of picture in the camera then use the MENU KEY for that function ( the middle top most key) then select the command FONT SIZE then select the command SIZE which takes us back to the display of the picture and by using the NAVIGATIONAL KEY (biggest 3 ways key) to increase the size. On my V3 there is no command to choose large digital clock I can only choose between analog and digital only. minhdai
Its kind of hard to explain. Using special software you download the phone's OS to your computer where you open it in a hex editor. The site I used to get this information from is no longer around so I have no idea where to go now to get the software, drivers, and the seem maps.

my last thank was for the "guru" who suggested modifying the font display for the digital clock using setting change, but my V3 has no command(I cant find it) to make it display large digital clock.My V3 moto was on Ingular carrier
As I recall, some V3 models showed the date with the time in the external display, some didn't. Its hard for me to remember now, as the V3 that I still use on occasion has a broken outer display.
