This comes up every once in awhile. I've found WDW to be spotty in areas for all carriers. Sprint barely worked at the All Star Resorts in 2006, while it roamed on VZ with 100% signal. T-Mobile was great too. Verizon was always decent in the parks when I had them in 2003. Surprisingly, I've never been to Disney with at&t. I'm sure they're decent. I'm just worried about coverage at the hotel, this time POP Century. We'll have 2 at&t lines and one Verizon. I am sure we'll be covered between those two carriers, but you never know. I need to keep tabs on the grandparents

I asked a Co-Worker that goes there at least once a year, and he said coverage with AT&T is solid throughout the park and area so you shouldn't have any issues with the AT&T phones.

I could be wrong but I believe that the original AT&T wireless was the official carrier for Disney World and the only one with sites on the premise. The last time I was there I had great coverage.

I believe you are correct, and AT&T was the official phone company with them as well.
