I have a Verizon Wireless v60c and just had the software updated to 2200.01.2B. While they the service tech was updateing my phone the sales rep was telling me about the new v.60i that was going to be in by weeks end. He told me that it was an updated v.60c that had removable/changeable cover, games, calaculator, and 1xRTT. I looked at phonescoop.com and confirmed every thing but the 1xRTT. It would be nice to have the high speed data, but all the rest, except the interchangeable exterior, seems to like the v.60c update. I was wondering if any one already had the phone and could let me know. The reason I really don't belive the sales rep is he was trying to tell an older woman that her cig. lighter adapter for her AT&T Nokia would not work with the same (5100 series) Nokia phone by Verizon. This is just wrong, but he sold her the $30.00 part. Thank you, Alice Harrison

supposedly it is 1xrtt compatible and shortly express kits for it will be out just like how the vx1 has. 2 verizon reps i spoke to pn the phone told be this. One who seemed to know his stuff is gabriel at ext 3757 when u call up the toll free verizon customer rep #.
Not sure if this is the right channel, but can anyone help me understand the V60i's support of three bands (cdma, tdma, and gsm). Is it one phone that supports all three bands? Or do you purchase separate phones (similar to the v60c, v60t, and v60g)?
Your latter "take" is the correct one. The V60 comes in three different digital models: GSM, CDMA, TDMA. All are mutually exclusive. Other points of interest: Though there is some "talk" of Verizon introducing a CMDA/GSM phone some day, that day is long off. TDMA/GSM phones exist today and are sold by ATT and Cingular.
