    Back in May 2012, AT&T had me do this with a text spam. Same as you posted:

    AT&T Free Msg: Report text/picture messaging spam to AT&T easily by forwarding a copy of the message to 7726 (SPAM). Thank you!

    And when I did, I got this reply:

    ATT FREE MSG: Thanks for providing us with the content of an unwanted message. Now, reply with the sender's phone number so we know who sent you this message.

    Seemed to have worked.

    Our spam came from 'Best Buy' promising a shopping spree. Problem was all 3 of us won at the same time. Lol.
