Deutsche Telekom chief rules out acquisitions in US

I agree. As long as a company doesn't have access to most of the major US markets (which is the case of Alltel/WW), and most of their area is rural/suburban that company is not going to grow as fast as another company whose service area is only where there is most population. T-Mobile has far better chance to grow faster than a combined Alltel/WW because Alltel/WW is missing many of the most important markets which is where they could get the most subscribers.

 

I agree, Bobo, but the new Alltel/WW would be a great choice if you live in a rural area, since T-Mobile lacks there and those two networks generally cover those areas quite well. I don't think Alltel/WW can catch up to T-Mo, I agree with you Bobo, but they will be a great choice for people in many rural communities.

 

Of course, I am sure they currently have better rural coverage than T-Mo will ever have.
