Know of him. First heard his name attached to the first kydex stinger sheaths I ever saw. Then searched for him on USN and came up with the post that the pic above came from. PM'd him about his stuff. Haven't heard back yet.

Yello: That pull the dot loop you sent me is great! Also thanks for the cord again, I was happy to see that it was black.

So...did you get the infamous Strider folder today?? Pics??

Yup, trying to disassemble the stupid thing right now. They used a ton of loctite and it won't come apart

I know the feeling. I snapped that loop together...before I had the other part attached. Trying to get a snap apart when one side leaves you nothing to grip ain't fun. Also, I had to use a longer female bolt from my tek-lok..those screws aren't hardly long enough! HOWEVER..I got it to work. Re-wrapped the handle, and almost had a caniption fit because I couldn't get it as nice as I did the first time. FINALLY got a wrap that didn't look too bad, sized the loop and was done.

    Whew.

I do like this system better than the Tek-Lok...though that aint bad either. Will have to invest in some spares.

Here's another crappy 6000 pic of the finished product.

Where's M1 been? Haven't heard from her in a few. Any news on modding an SBT grip, or recommended training in my hood?

Oh yeah, Hey Yello..I'll see you in November maybe...there's a knife show in NY (saw on the Emerson site) and thats not too far to drive to. Hopefully some Karambit people will be there as well. I got first round!

M1's been a little busy taking care of things on her end. It's been a rough week for her.

Dude, it would be awesome to see you in NYC. I was talking to Sandy at karambit.com the other day if she would be coming by NYC for the show. It would be great to show you and M1 around the town.

And don't worry, if you're here, don't worry about paying for drinks. We can hit the bar I pretty much live at, where we all drink for free!

Sorry babe, but there have been problems in the past with people posting a lot and they make senior member in no time.

It doesn't work like USN here, it goes by your number of posts...then you become a senior member as opposed to a Suspect

Gee...just the place I DON'T fit in!! Probably the most expensive knife I will ever oneday buy is an Emerson Commander. But I WILL own a Hideaway (or 2) and a Emerson Karambit. I will check this place out though...I just got comfy at USN

Don't sweat it, dude. The crowd in Badlands is really cool

I'll post up some pics of my SMF later tonight, hopefully. It's def my favorite folder at the moment, but it's going to be awhile before my PS karambits get knocked off the top spot...

    But not too long...

    Hello??

    Helloooo?

Where the :censored: is Yello and Michelle??

We need stuff to talk about, we have a reader base that is depending us...rushing home and logging on to WA just to see what we have to say...

At least thats what I would do, if I were someone other than myself.

    Yello..Lagriffe question...

I know it's not a big deal on your end, since you have way more sinister equipment, but how/where you you carry your griffe? I have switched to the loop you sent me instead of the tek-lok, and been playing with where I keep it. Front left, front right, back right, front left reverse...actually like the draw on the reverse grip, which isn't so bad once it has been cord wrapped. In fact, I like it son much that I want an Emerson Karambit that much more..just someting about that claw-like blade sticking out the bottom of your fist... :browani:

I was also wondering, and I can't believe I havent seen anyone discuss the idea... have you ever heard of any talk of Strider making a folding karambit?? I might sell a kidney or two if they did...

Any more thoughts on the November knife show? There is a local one here in october..mostly regional guys, but I got to thinking..maybe Mr. Yurco may be there... I like his stuff ALOT. He never replied to my PM on USN, but then again I dont see him on there that much either.

They need to make a knife with a cell phone built in..get the other readers here into it...

Re: Delta and Yello's Bad @ss Thread Ver 2.0

Sorry, but I don't have any pics handy of my SMF. I hung out with Shelby last night and realized that I don't have any batteries for my camera.

I carry my La Griffe on my belt behind my back for right hand sabre grip. With the cordwrap, it's really easy for me to get a purchase on it. I carry it most of the time as a backup knife.

There have been rumors for awhile that Strider would come out with a folding karambit, but nobody knows anything. They're pretty close hold about new products.

Cell phone with a blade? I think you're asking to get your ear cut off.

Lets assume for a minute that I am not a trained knife fighting master, and explain to me what the :censored: a right hand sabre grip is. I'm assuming its the way most knives are held, blade forward, or "index finger through hole"

So you finally got to hang out with the camera ninja, huh? Let him know I look at his pics (especially the hideaway ones) and drool.

You should get Shelby to take a pic of you with your PS's, to use as an Avatar. I bet he could make you look badder than "Blade"

For those of you (which is 99.97% I'm sure) who don't know who we are talking about, he is the man behind the camera who takes pics like this:

    And this...

    One of my faves..

His work rocks! (and I don't usually use lame phrases like "rocks")

Re: Delta and Yello's Bad @ss Thread Ver 2.0

    FUNNY STUFF!! :rotfl:

I literally laughed out loud for once!

Found this site from a flashlight forum (yeah...If you think I like flashlights, you should see these guys). Its a new device called a "Tigerlight"

Now, supposedly, this is made out to be the greatest thing to happen for cops (and SD in general) since the advent of the semi-auto pistol. Its a very bright flashlight (they say) with built-in pepper spray fogger.

    Thats not what's funny.

Whats funny is the little video clip in the front page. Check it out yourself. NOTE: The guy with the knife is neither myself nor Yello, as we do not advocate doing dumb :censored: like this guy is obviously intending. (Come to think of it..he kinda looks like Rallykid...)

I don't know why I think this is funny. It just is. Maybe it's the overracting. Maybe is the way she jumps on top of the bed(??)...screaming... just so she can unload a ton of mace to the face. Maybe it's the fact that they use this video to try and sell the stupid thing. Personally, I'd put my money on the other girl in the link/pic a few posts up.

BEWARE THE TIGERLIGHT!! (NOTE: When you click the link, you may get one of a few random videos. Click the back and forward browser button till you see it show a ladys head on her pillow)

Alright, took a pic of my new SMF. It's pretty sweet, though I needed to break it in for awhile, and it was a real pain to melt the loctite. The knife has been sitting in my right front pocket for EDC since Monday night. Will at TTS is the best, he hooked me up with free shipping.

The lovely Ms Mayhem has been busy causing trouble in the Badlands. She'll be around.

Hanging out with Shelby was great. He's a very cool guy and he's extremely talented yet humble. If you ever come by NYC, we'll all hang out.

Btw, the link you posted of Shelby's ad will only work if they have access to USN, and it's a private forum. You need approval before you can see any threads, including pics. I talked to Shelby on Thurs about us posting his pics, and he's totally ok with it. He's just glad ppl enjoy his photos

Here's Shelby's pic along with my Strider SMF with a SE47 for size reference. It's a big folding knife!

Ok, nevermind, the guys here still haven't set the attachment size to a reasonable amount, so no pics for now
