    BTW..killed apair of batteries already playing with my 6P...it was the set it came with, so who knows how fresh they were? Gonna order some of those Universal batteries from Texas Tactical.

    Ever see what the #1 result is when doing an image search on Google for the word "(hint: Yellos fave type of knife)" ?? ;) Discovered that today.

    The knife (at least the blade) look interesting. I don't think that handle shape is all that ergonomic though...I realize Strider has that shape handle on most of their folders, so maybe I'm just missing something.

    Should we cover:

    Different "real world" martial arts, where to learn, and why they are good....

    Obviously new weapons and gadgets (but what haven't we talked about??)

    Training materials (videos, books, and gear) and links to buy them.....

    A general "cool gear" section...

    Hmmmm.....

    Would be nice if some people that read the thread had any serious questions we could look into. I try to keep the thread on pertinent info...but when I get bored those damn moon creatures get a hold of me and get in my brain..... :eek:

    This knife has a right and left hand version. From what I understand, if you can grab the bad guys hand with your free hand, you run the backside of the knife up the forearm, "liberating" skin and muscle

    He has one Power of Light course on July 23rd out in Florida. Let me know if you want the details. His fall schudule is still not completely fleshed out, so there may be another one here or there... he will let me know as it goes. If you can pull a group together in your area, we might be able to set a seminar up for you. e-mail me if you want requirements, etc., for that.

    Also if you want to vector me in to where in Ohio you are I can get training references for you... e-mail me on that and let me know what art or type of training you are interested in pursuing.

    Yello & Delta (and anyone else interested-lol):

    I am in Columbus, Ohio. Interested in (good) knife training, pref. Silat or Kali. Almos maybe a type of fighting doctrine that is more "nuts and bolts" and less philisophical. There's Krav Maga here..but not sure if they are any good. Read the thread about it in USN, so I'll need to talk to them.

    Just figured out pic hosting. Here is a comparison shot between my quality Emerson Lagriffe and my POS Smith and Wesson "Badge Knife"

    Should be noted that S&W knives are just a licensing agreement with some podunk chinese manufacturer...S&W doesn't really make them. Either way, I can tell the steel is junk compared to the griffe's ATS-34 steel.

    Never EDC'd the S&W knife. Just keep it in my "toybox"

    A thought on concealed carry:

    I was at Vance's today and I had a thought. If you can get a liscense to carry a concealed gun, why can't you get a license to carry whatever the hell you want?? I mean, the license means you were checked out by the FBI and are a law abiding citizen. Laws are just so fuzzy. Would be nice to get a license so you couldn't be hassled for carrying your karambits or what not.
