That thing is what knife collectors call a "fantasy piece" It's totally useless except for getting your friends to go "oooh" and "aaaah"

Returned the G2 today and paid $20 to bump up to the 6P. This is much more of a "flash and bash" device. Heavier, and the entire bezel protrudes from my fist. Slap a P61/120 lumen lamp in there and it will do some damage, especially if you hammerfist someone on the collarbone. (ouch!)

Now I just need to find a worthwhile carry option. How did you like that horizontal inova sheath you got from TADgear?

The 6P is a nice model. Still waiting for a good price on a G2Z.

I honestly thought the sheath was a little cumbersome. You really had to grasp that flashlight tight to get it out, and it was a pain to try to get it back into the sheath with only one hand.

I'm supposed to hang out with Shelby Chan soon, as soon as finals are over, and he's going to show me some cool models. Some of the ones he has are prototypes only.

But until then, back into hiding until finals are over...

Btw, you called first to make sure they have the La Griffe in stock, right? A lot of places will let you order them, but they won't have any in stock. Emersons are hard to come by these days, unless you know an "in"

Nope, I did not. I don't believe they carry any of them in stock.

Looks like I am getting another one on trade out of Traders Cove. Maybe I can come up with a double custom kydex sheath.

Dumborat gave me a link to some nice holsters I had not seen before, if you want bezel-down carry with tension.

    Sidearmor holster

But I really like this horizontal holster from Blade-Tech

    Blade Tech Horizontal Holster

Hibby- No crossbows or harpoon guns. Police generally frown on carrying those around town.

Just spoke to Will, nice guy. He said to call him this afternoon and he'd be able to give me a yea or nay on it. Said it sounds pretty close to wholesale price. If he knocks it down a couple bucks I may do it anyway and tell the Knifestore.com to go pi$$ off.

Would be nice to get that and get my Griffe I'm getting in trade. Have to figure a way to carry both of them...

Now that's what I'm talking about. Just called TTS today, already have a UPS tracking number for my knife. Shoulda been that way LAST week!

No word yet on if Yudda found his griffe (gonna trade it to me), if no, still getting the $$$.

YM, you see in the "Gadget" forum my thread about 6P carrying options? They really tossed up a lot of stuff, most of which I hadn't seen before. Lotta goog craftsman on USN. Was just looking at "Lifters Leather"

I love doing this because I bet whoever reads this just goes nuts wondering what the H#$@ we are talking about! L-O-L

    Sorry guys.

BTW, If I may ask...how much did you get your L4 for??

L4...I think it was around $150. I pretty much paid full price on it, but I think you might be able to find a good deal on cpf or at Tad if you're patient

Depending on what you're looking for, I'd take a look at the e2e. You can usually find it for around 80 on cpf

Will is an awesome guy. I bought both my karambits off him, a CQC10, and my La Griffe. He also has good deals on Surefires whenever he has them in stock.

Lifter's Leather is run by Mike Abramson. He's a good guy, lives not too far from me. I don't know him personally, but he's held in high regard on USN. Btw, you should check out the knifemaker forum and look up Jerry Hossom's thread about his new karambit. It's hot. M1 is drooling all over it.

I like the fatboy bag too, I have one similar to it, but I never use it. I find that I'm either carrying stuff that I can fit into my pockets or so much stuff I can't fit it in that little bag

The watch thing is huge! I have a friend that works in the jewelry business, and he has several guys coming into him on a regular basis buying watches. There's a huge market for watch collecting.

I think it's kinda like collecting jewelry

I was thinking about one of those bags...I bought a $8.00 "fannypack" the other day to try it out. My problem with them is this: If you lose your bag, you lose ALL your good stuff. Imagine having your Striders and Surefire in a bag, and leaving it somewhere or whatever. It would be enough to bring a grown man to tears.

Plus, I want to be able to access my stuff quickly. The Stinger, The Griffe, The Surefire....none of them do sh*t for you if you cannot get to them right then, right there.

The lightweight photojournalist vests may be a better option, if you can find one that doesn't make you look "rather unusual" . I want to at least pick up a SF spares carrier and have somewhere to put it.

Btw... I did a real test on my SF last night...sat outside for about 20 minutes till I was sure my night vision was optimal. Then I pushed the button.....holy crap!
God help the guy who wants to jump you in the dark and gets blinded by that thing. he's going to have to deal with the big, red spot in his vision while he gets hammerfisted to death with that light.

My post is now more "PC." Although my intended use of the word was not in that vein.

I have $55 to spend. What should I get??

In addition to my "what should I buy for $55" question, allow me to go off topic for a moment....

(In this thread, cell phones are "off-topic")

    Have you seen THIS BABY??
