Can anyone tell me how to delete audio files from my razr? When I try it with my phone, it goes to the previous screen. When I use MPT, I get an error message of "Request Denied by phone (Unauthorized (0x41)). Please help or refer me to other discussions that I can look at that might help. thanks

Deleting native files from your phone, with your phone, isnt possible. They are locked to the phone. Use a 3rd party program such as P2K Commander to access the files and delete them that way.

Please forgive my lack of knowledge on this subject but are "native" files ones that came on the phone or does that also include tones I have downloaded to the phone via MPT and bluetooth? Also, It may help to know that I found out the last file I had sent to my phone with bluetooth showed up as a corrupt file when I tried connecting to that same other phone again -in retrospect, I had realized the problem showed up first after attempting to receive this file the first time, and for additional info, I cannot add any more tones to my phone and the memory shows 966kb of space left.
Will the P2K Commander still be necessary to correct this given the new information?

    thanks, R

Yeah, native files are the ones that came with the phone...

As for the corrupt file...bluetooth isnt a reliable way to transfer files....

P2K commander will let you see ALL the files...and you can delete ringtones you dont use, as well as stock pictures...to make room for stuff you do want!

wow, I'm having problems with P2k now, it is loaded and when I look at instuctions to move ahead, I don't have the option of mobile cell phone that is supposed to be there. Is there some way to talk to a tech support to walk me through this? this is driving me crazy. :loony: any (more) help would be appreciated. rob:O

I thought maybe the drivers were installed but maybe they were just downloaded but likely not installed. I finally just deceided to try and save all the vital info using MPT so I was lucky enough to be able to transfer & save the files and did a master clear on the V3. I was able to put everything I needed back on the phone and it is working ok again as far as adding new ringtones. I suppose this is something I should have tried to do first had I thought of it. Thank you for your expertise on this, I think some of these programs are just over my head at this point.
