Cingular Increases Delaware Cell Coverage Nine New Cell Sites Enhance Network in Kent, New Castle and Sussex Counties Cingular Wireless, the nation's largest wireless carrier, has turned on nine new cell sites providing enhanced coverage in Kent, New Castle and Sussex Counties. The company is spending $225 million this year on many network improvements including the addition of 100 new cell sites, as well as back-up generators and batteries throughout Delaware, southern New Jersey, and eastern Pennsylvania. "We are absolutely committed to providing our customers in Delaware with the best network coverage and the highest quality wireless service," said Dan Lafond, Cingular Wireless vice president and general manager, Greater Philadelphia. "Over the last two years we have invested $400 million and turned on 200 new cell sites for our customers in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey."
