I would like to know which service you think is better, Verizon or Cingular. I have Verizon now and my contract is up in a few days. I am deciding whether to switch to Cingular. There are pros and cons for each and I would appreciate some feedback. Cingular works in some places Verizon doesn't. I like Verizon's phones better, the list goes on. This is going to be a two year committment so I want to make sure I make the right choice.
    Thanks

Do you really spend that much time in the casinos that you're basing your carrier decision on that one fact?

Since you have Verizon now, you know exactly what its strong and weak points are as far as coverage is concerned. Why don't you get Cingular and use the trial period to check out its performance - you can always cancel without penalty within the trial period if not satisfied, and if it measures up, you can port over your Verizon number.

I would stay where you are at. Verizon is better then cingular is virtually every catagory. but like the above poster said if you are really curious try cingular for the 30 day trial, I am sure you will see in that 30 days why VZW is better.

I agree with the other responses here. Get Cingular and take advantage of their 30 day trial. See if Cingular performs better for your needs than does Verizon. If the two are about the same, then consider which carrier has the cooler phones, see if one carrier provides plans and features you want for much less than the other as well.

I agree with that. I had Cingular in the past and now have Verizon. Verizon far surpasses Cingular in virtually every aspect. Verizon's coverage and customer service has been great for me, far better than Cingular was.

Just another example of how things are different for everyone though...Coverage-wise Verizon never let me down, but their customer service was the worst I have had with any carrier, and I have used em all (except Nextel).
