Unless of course you have an EVDO phone, like me. Then you can call 100 times and the PRL update will never work.
My daughter and I have the same phones... mine has the latest prl update, hers does not... my phone now no longer works at our house and hers does or atleast half the time... please explain that....
Not sure what's happening there but it has nothing to do with the PRL. The PRL contains a list of Sprint SID's along with preferred roaming partners SID's. No matter which PRL version you have it will have the exact same list of Sprint SID's as the phone your daughter is using. Therefore the only potential difference between the PRL's is who the preferred off network roaming partner is.

That's because you dont need one, but if you must have one, call customer care and they can flag your account manually if ya really want as PRL Update. P2k access required.
Go into settings, go down to roam or others & more depending on handset. After you see roam click on it, go to SET MODE, take your phone OFF Sprint only and set it to Automatic. I think that will help you.
