    Who can explain to me what a DAP is.

    Never heard of it and I checked several on-line dictionaries related to wireless technology. In what context did you hear it? Do you know what the initials mean? (Democratic Action Party, Dingbats Are People (too))

    DAP -- Directory Access Protocol
    The protocol used between a Directory User Agent (DUA) and Directory System Agent (DSA) in an X.500 directory system.

    Now, if you want to know the technical specifics of the protocol itself, it's way beyond the scope of WA and so far off topic as to be of no interest to most everyone here.
