I thought I would start a thread on our vacation in Portugal & Spain & add pictures slowly.

    Our itinerary was as follows:

    1. Lisbon to Porto by train.
    2. Cruise on the Duoro river for 8days & 7 nights, stopping each day and visiting glorious sites and the last day a port wine vineyard, wine making & ofcourse wine testing.:)

    Here are 3 pictures:

    1. The Oriente station in Lisbon,
    2. The Alpha Pendular at final destination - Porto Campahna
    3. The display, it went up to 235km/h highest

Michael, the boat"s entertainment director was a fellow geek. His English was only slightly better than my Portuguese but since we both spoke "geek" fluently, he spent many hours trying to prove his TyTn was better than my Treo. There was no WiFi on the boat, so his trump card failed & I had slight advantage reception-wise for being able to choose another network if TMN, his provider had coverage problems.

The boat's purser Ricardo was a neat person, with what he termed as his ancient Nokia a 6030. In the 3 years he had owned it he did not know the model number & ofcourse I had to open the battery cover & show him where it was written. :D.

    Three more pictures:
    1. Michael at the front desk.
    2. Ricardo with Emille, the German Interprator.
    3. The boat .

Cathedral in Lamego, Our Lady Of dos Remedious, there is no flash allowed inside, so picture taking was difficult. This was one of the best Cathedrals, not as overt a display of wealth like the Spanish ones but just right.:)

I guess you proved that in the absense of WiFi Treo is no worse than the TyTN :)

Thanks for the pictures! Looking forward to more.

    1. At Porto looking towards the Atlantic - Porto is directly across from Newark, NJ something I never knew before.
    2. The RR bridge we were piered under, sorry I got another person's camera lens in the picture.
    3. Across the river looking at Gaija where all the Port wine cellars are.

So you were directly across from me when you took this picture? Geez at least you could have waived or something.

Thanks for the additional excellent pictures Charlyee, I wish I could travel oversea's & see these beautiful locations in person, but at least people here have been sharing their trips photos & that's nice.

lol, interesting way of putting it. Actually the Treo has yet another advantage over the TyTn, I can text with it while driving. :D

Now you should Never be driving & texting at the same time Charlyee, I would have expected better from you then doing something like this, Geez what am I going to do with you.

The pictures are great, thank you for posting them, it looks like you had a great trip.

As for the stuck up witch, I told you at least wave while your flying around my Spooky tower that's the least you can do if you are flying around my neighborhood stuck up or not.

Thank you for the picture of the fire dept. & maybe it is me following you around on your trip, of course I will never tell since that would blow my sneaky cover.

I have a pretty good idea what type of car that is, do you want me to give it my guess or let dmapr go for it anyhow (he shouldn't be disqualified that's not fair)

Thanks Kelli, I am glad you enjoyed them, the Oriente is the new railroad station in Lisbon. The Vodaphone P headquaters is right next to it and ofcourse I had to take a picture of it. ;)

Glad you liked Villa Real, it was definitely one of my favorites too.

So, the high and mighty Fire14 NEVER texts while driving huh? Hmm, why do I have hard time believing that? :p

I am glad you enjoyed the pictures and thank you. :)

Ahh, so it was you, no wonder I kept seeing you everywhere. :D

Sure go ahead and guess, Dmitry is disqualified since I am 99% sure he will know what car it is. ;)

Can I guess what the roadster is? It looks like GM European Division's Opel GT Roadster. Basically the European version of the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky. Am I right? :D

Also, I am guilty of texting while driving. Except I only text when I am stopped at a light or stuck in heavy gridlock traffic.

Well oh High & Mighty Charlyee I am just a simple normal person that try's to obey the law when ever possible, not to say I haven't done it once or twice but I don't think it's a safe thing to do.

Now you must be a Very Special person to be above the law if you do & drive and text and I bet you text and fly around the spooky tower, which you might like to know is now giving off 3G power to this area (finally).

As for the car, No sense saying it, Gamer got it right.

Thanks Joe, I am glad you liked the pictures . As for the the car, your are both correct, I had just forgotten the OPEL GT Version
Hmm! Well in that case you better tell me what you would like me to bribe you with that you mentioned in the picture thread. I am not quite sure with bribes are legal. :p

Glad you got 3G at my spooky tower, just in time for my Halloween fly over too. :D

I don't take bribes, I like my job & would never swoop that low, I have morals you know.

BUT, since this doesn't include my job and my morals go out the window when I am off work

I have a few I would like to mention, but I really don't think this is the best place to post them (I may have no morals, but this is a wireless board & I don't want to corrupt it & I wouldn't want JFB to get mad at me) So if you would prefer me to PM them to you, just let me know & I will be more then happy to accommodate your wishes master.

Yes the tower will be all ready to energize you on Halloween, but you better wave or I may have to chase you with a ghost or 2. :p

Lol, true and JFB may even have a law against us ordinary members bribing (or atleast trying to bribe) one of his supermoderators :p.
I am a stuck up witch and do not believe in waving at mere mortals. I have never been chased by ghosts and I am looking forward to it and hoping one of them is a Handsome Fire Fighter with an enchanting smile. :D

Lol, not too many, but I posted one in the Official Picture Thread.

The Vineyards ar gorgeous & my picture taking ability does not do justice to them, but here are two of my attempts. I am a little Lock & Dam crazy, so here we are entering the the highest lock in Europe - 36 meters.

Btw, FIRE, I also talk on my battery powered toy while filling up the gas tank in my car. :p
