    Matt,

I presume the phone and SIM will have to receive new OTA (over the air) updates, as it's going from prepay to postpay.

Is it advisable to keep the phone powered ON during this 24-72 hour changeover period?

I think it shouldn't be a problem to leave your phone turned on-I'd think that you should leave it turned on so it can receive the OTA update.
    Anyways, good luck,

    Andy

I subsequently gave them a call this morning, was told to leave the phone on, and there was a certain text message to look for.

Yeah, you should get a text message with some numbers and "OTA OK" I presume.

The OTA OK message was received two days after I went to their company location (it was during the weekend). All is well and I'm pleased to be a postpay customer of T-Mobile. :)
